Denominationalism and the Jehovah Witness

Reverence: Psalm 23 This is how God wants his people who believe in His Son and His works on the cross. His tender love shows us that He has saved us by His grace and mercy. He shows us how He is toward us and what He does everyday for us. We repay Him by our continued steadfast commitment to Him. We should be devoted to reading His word, to help others, and by giving our tithes and offering to Him. God wants His people, called by His name, to look and appreciate all that he has done, what we can see and the things we can not see Him doing. He wants us to freely say this about Him.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou dost prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen and Amen

Denominationalism 2 and the Jehovah Witnesses. Part 2 of 4

In my last article I did not name this denomination because I did not know enough about them. How different they are in the belief of God and Jesus Christ. I only dealt with their basic differences in scripture, between their bible, the new world translation, and God’s Word to man, “The Holy Bible.” They have taken away the judgment of God and say that all men go to hell, the righteous and the wicked. They define hell as the common grave of mankind. When people die, everybody goes to a grave in the ground. The only ones that are not resurrected are those opposed to God’s will. What they call resurrection, you are resurrected to paradise on earth. They say that Jehovah has given them the keys of salvation for the world. They claim that if you are not a Jehovah Witness you are not saved. They do not believe that Christ is God that came in the Flesh. John 1:14 They separate Christ and His death to pay our debt of sin on the cross for those that have come to faith in Christ. They say His death was to pay the ransom of Adam and Eve’s sin, not all of mankind. They believe that all people, good and bad go to live in paradise on earth. The bad will be taught who Jehovah is. They do not believe in the New Heaven and the New Earth in Revelation. 21:1-8 In this, we will cover their belief as to who the faithful servant is, their belief in salvation, no heaven for the masses, only 144,000 Jehovah Witness in heaven in the Kingdom of God, no life after death, no faith in Christ’s resurrected body, because He has already returned in 1914, but is invisible, Armageddon, Purpose of Jehovah Witness, compared to the Purpose of God.
How have the Jehovah Witness Organization helped Christ in reaching the unreached in this world. That is the Great Commission that Christ gave to His church. The Jehovah Witness say that they are the soul giver of God’s Word to the whole world. “the only exception is people who were saved by Jesus teaching in the first century who are believers in Jesus. Since Christ lived and ministered, and had His 11 disciples in the first century, everyone that came to Christ during the first century is saved. Anybody that came after that is not saved unless they believe in the Jehovah Witness organization. And they achieve this by saying that when people die, everybody goes to hell (common grave of man) to lay in an unconscious state there, until the resurrection to a new body and mind that can be retrained to think like the Jehovah Witness organization. Faith in Christ is not enough. In fact, at the first resurrection, Christ, will be under the 144,000, and Jehovah. Christ is king over the people on the new paradise on earth, as it was when God made Adam and Eve.
This organization does not say they believe in God, but that Jehovah God gave them, not Jesus Christ as the way to attaining everlasting life through the organization, not by Jesus Christ and faith. This organization only talks about themselves and rules they have in this organization are the only way to be saved is, belief in the organization. They have an arrogance that divide people, by their rules. They put their members on the sidelines unless they do exactly what they say. They are exclusive in their thought process, but Christ is inclusive of all peoples. The leaders cannot know the thought of man, but Christ can, Christ has the ability through His word and deeds to touch the soul and heart of man. It is Christ that has saved people from the first century up until the time of His return. The Jehovah Witness have divided God from His humanity, His righteousness, His Holiness, His love for man kind. They do not have to follow God’s commands, but their 141 rules and regulations. What they believe are contrary to God Himself, what He stands for, God’s sovereignty, rule, truth, grace, mercy, humility and faith. All these things are subservient to the organization.
No man or organization can undo what God has said He is going to do in His word. All things will come to pass, just as God has said it will. Man will always try to usurp the power of God and bend the Bible to fit what they want it to say and mean. They will use all means to try and coerce and get people to follow them and come up with a strict set of rules that you have to follow. They have about 141 rules they want you to follow. God only gave us 10. You are not allowed to talk to people outside the organization and be friends with them. If you work for a company, you are not to associate in any meeting unless it is required. They do not like their people to go to college because they do not want any other ideas coming in that upset there teaching. Woman are strictly forbidden from having any roles of leadership in the Kingdom Hall. One can only become a leader by invitation. These positions are only for the most ardent supporters of the organization, and believe that the organization is the savior of the world. They believe that God has turned over to them the salvation of the world, and anybody that is not a part of the Jehovah Witnesses, they will not be saved. This organization was not incorporated until the early 1930’s. It is operated and controlled by the 12-15 leaders in New York. If you do not follow, there are three local leaders that will talk to you, and try and get you back on their path once again. This organization operates by fear and intimidation, if you do not comply you will be placed on probation. While on probation, no family members, wife, children, brothers, sisters, and people in their body will not be able to talk to you. You have to sit in the back of the room, keep quiet, and all others in the meeting ignore you. This is called disfellowshipping. The denomination has an exception, when it comes to parenting. This is done as long as the three men in the meeting come to a conclusion that you have been repentant enough. They follow the rules of the organization, not by grace and mercy from the Lord Jesus. This denomination has their own bible. It is called the New World Translation.

They do not believe that God is over them, but they are equal with God. Anybody that says God has turned over salvation to an organization, believe they are equal to God. The Bible says When Christ returns to earth in Revelation 22:4, everybody see’s Christ and they all mourn because there is nothing for them to do, but suffer the consequence of their unbelief. As all the doubters die, they meet their fate for what they have believed and done against God and His plan of salvation, their efforts to keep people from believing in the Lord Jesus. In the end, it will be just exactly what God has said. Exactly, did I say Exactly, yes Exactly.
There are 66 books in the Bible, written by men that had the Holy Spirit placed in them so they could act and write about what God has done and how He did it for all peoples and believers that claim Him as Lord and Savior of the world. One book after the other have the same message of God’s love, of judgement of sinful men, that He would send the Messiah to pay for the sins for all the world, and for those who believe, even though they die, they shall be resurrected in body to be reunited with their Spirit and the resurrection of believers, to see and be with Christ for eternity.
Background of Charles Taze Russell, Founder of the Zion watch tower publication society.
Charles Russell’s parents were members of the congregational Church. At an early age, Charles Russell joined the same church, as well as the Young Men’s Christian Association, and became very active in local ministry work. Russell at age 15 years old, believed that the gospel as taught by the Congregational Church was incorrect. Not to long after this he began to have doubts of the teaching of the Congregationalists. In about 1868 he attempted to covert a nonbeliever to his way of thinking. The person he tried to convert was better than he was, and Russell turned away from his faith for a while. “But that which threatened to shipwreck his faith” served as a stepping stone to a new way of interpretation of scripture. p28, [4] Following his encounter with the unbeliever, Russell made investigation of leading oriental religions. When nothing interesting came from this, he turned to a study of various creeds of the Christian Churches. In these he found out that they all contained some elements of truth. Among other doctrines, Russell found himself reading that of a Second Adventist. [5] From this reading he gained a new concept of the divine inspiration of the Bible. One evening in 1869, he was drawn to a service conducted by Jonas Wendell, a minister of the advent church. In this small church he said they had no light on the word to offer concerning the bible, and as result of this experience, Russell was led to a deeper study of the scriptures and the conviction that the gospel age was about to close. This marked the beginning of his religious career.
In 1876 Russell meet with N.H. Barbour [7] an editor, who was instrumental in explaining to him the time prophecies in the Bible. Prior to this meeting, Barbour had sent Russell a copy of his paper, The Herald of the Morning. This was his belief regarding the second coming of Christ. Russell commented, upon opening and reading this paper he was well aware of the fact it was a second advent periodical, but he was curious to learn what the new time they would set up next for the “burning up of the world.” [8]
From the contact with Barbour they made a new prediction of 1874. From this Russell had learned that one could make a excuse for the failure of the prediction, come up with a new formula and predict a new date. With this he published a magazine called Russell’s time predictions, the publication of the magazine was called the The Watchtower and Zion Herald of Christ’s Presence. This publication sold millions of copies. As you see Russell did not come up with this date setting. Do you remember earlier I wrote when Russell started looking at the Christians creeds, he found that there was some truth in them. To Russell, as long as there was some truth of the Bible in his writings, it was okay to lie or bend the truth for the other parts.
In his first issue of Zion Watchtower publication, Russell outlines most of his doctrines and beliefs he held for the next 37 years. “He said God is love, and a God of love would not allow suffering to continue without hope. He stated that Christ died as a ransom for Adam and Eve’s sin and that the ransom promised was eternal life for all man kind, including those long dead. He also claimed there was no hell. {NWT July 9, 1879} The reason he gave for this was, he believed the Catholic Church created hell to raise money and to hold them as captives, that they could hold them in fear. {NWT Nov, 1883-5537 He also said that the grave (earthly graves) was the only place for the dead, they only slept waiting for the resurrection. During the Millennium, all would be given perfect health, and at the end of the 1,000 year reign the good would be rewarded to eternal life, while those who defied God’s will would die a second death.
“Russell himself made no claim of special revelation from God, but held that in God’s due time the Bible would be made plain, and that he being fully consecrated to the Lord’s service, was permitted to understand it.” [9] “The writer of Russell’s memoirs speaks of him as the greatest expounder of biblical truth since the days of saint Paul. Russell was the staunchest defender of the faith since Luther.” [10]
When Russell first heard Jonas Wendell, the first Adventist minister that stirred him to greater study, and N.H. Barbour also an Adventists, Russell said that they did not present him with a single truth, but giving them credit for helping unlearn some of the things he had been taught as a boy. Shortly after 1870, Russell made the acquaintances of two other Adventist ministers, George Stetson and George Storrs . which is an indication that his interest in their views had not gone away. Russell said about these men: “The study of the Word of God with these dear brethren led step by step, into greener pastures and brighter hopes for the world, though it was not until 1872 when I gained a clear view of our Lord’s work, as our Ransom Price, that I found the foundation of all hope of restitution to lie in that doctrine. ” [15] In his later years he would extensively travel by train. Sometimes he would travel up to 30,000 miles a year. One year on his travels he passed away on a train in Texas on October 31, 1916.
“I soon began to see that we were living somewhere near the close of the Gospel Age, near the time when the Lord declared that the wise, watching ones of His children should come to clear knowledge of His Plan. At this time, myself and a few other Truth seekers in Pittsburgh and Allegheny, formed a class for Bible study; and the period from 1870 to 1875 was a time of constant growth in grace, in knowledge and in love of God and his Word.” (Watch Tower, First Faint Gleam of God’s Plan, June 1, 1916, p. 170)
“Charles Russell had a Adventist friend by the name of Adam Wendell. Russell wrote the following, Russell could never accept the salvation of only Adventists. Russell wrote, we felt greatly grieved at the error of of the Second Adventists, who were expecting Christ in the flesh, and teaching that the world and all in it except the Second Adventists would be burned up.” {Proclammer p45} Russell also said that a College Education is Anti Christian.” He thought that evolution, skepticism, and wealth all led to the same end.” {Zion Watchtower May1,1904,3357}
Mr. Russell also made a number of predictions of the time of Christ’s return. Since this has never happened yet, in 1914, they say He has returned, but you wouldn’t know it, because He is invisible. The predictions will appear in another section at the end of this article.
This begins some of the beliefs of the Jehovah Witness.

  1. Salvation and The Faithful servant. Matthew 24:45-51 NASB “Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of His household to give them their food at the proper time? Blessed is the slave whom His master finds so doing when He comes. Truly I say to you, that he will put him in charge of all His possessions. But if that slave says in his heart, my master is not coming for a long time, and shall begin to beat his fellow slaves and eat and drink with drunkards; the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and an hour which he does not know, and shall cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, weeping shall be there and the gnashing of teeth.” This is a parable of two very different kind of people. One faithful and sensible, willing to follow directions and commands, and the other living a life of debauchery, slothful in his duties as described, disrespectful to authority, not caring about anything entrusted to him, or the workers he is in charge of. The Jehovah Witnesses believe that the Watchtower organization in New York is the faithful slave, and they have been put in charge of giving the message of Jehovah to the whole world. Remember that Russell thought that as long as you have a part of the truth in your idea, then it is okay to distort and bend the truth of God. They have distorted this scripture totally. This has to do with two different kind of people on earth in the time of Christ’s return, how He will find those who belong to Christ and the ones that are opposed to Him in this world.
The Jehovah Witness, have 12 reasons for preaching, Here are the two most important. Preaching for them is not listening to a preacher. “It is going door to door and giving the people the message of the Jehovah Witness.” These are two of their reasons. “1. It helps save lives, and 2. It is a requirement for salvation.” {Watchtower Kingdom Ministry 2012 June p 1 (US Edition} I wished other Christians would do the same.
    “In effect, Jesus also conveys Jehovah’s voice to us as he directs the congregation through “the Anointed one (Jehovah Witness Organization) and the discreet slave. We need to take this guidance seriously for our everlasting life depends on our obedience.” {Watchtower 2014 Aug. 15 p21}
    “Only Jehovah Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the “great crowd” as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any scriptural hope of surviving the impending system dominated by satan the devil,” {}
The Supreme organizers are the 12-to 15 leaders of the Jehovah Witness in New York. It is they who make the rules for the subordinates to live by, not God.
What is the Day of Judgement to the Jehovah witnesses?
    “In fact, with God’s day of judgment so near today, all the world should keep silent before the sovereign Lord Jehovah, and hear what he says through the “little flock” of Jesus’ anointed followers, and their companions, his other sheep” (Luke 12:32, John 10:16 NWT) Annihilation awaits all who will not listen and thereby set themselves against rule by God’s Kingdom” {
To Jesus Christ, there are two types of people, believers in Him and willing to follow Him and His word to obey Him. The other group are unbelievers. there are may people that do not believe, that do not oppose Christ. Others do not want any moral or ethical restrictions and is not the way they want to live. Since the time of Christ, it is a person’s lifetime that we have to find the Lord Jesus Christ and take Him as Savior. In “Hebrews 9:27 And in as much as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.” NASB Christ is very definite in scripture what will happen, there are only two choices, and no organization will be able to overrule Jesus Christ.
  2. No Heaven for the masses,
The Great Crowd, Revelation 19:1-4 , 7:9 (NWT) “The great crowd is not in heaven, their standing before the throne of God, this does not require them to be in Heaven. They are simply in the sight of God. The fact that the great crowd which no man can number, is not a heavenly class is shown by comparing its unspecified number, with what is written at Revelation 7:4-8 and Revelation 14:1-4. There the number taken from earth to heaven is revealed to be 144,000.” {} {} (the great crowd)
“Only the 144,000 Jews marked by God and having the seal of living God. Now the Jehovah Witness take these Jews marked by God, and replaces them with the leaders of the Organization of Jehovah Witness, “Revelation 7:1-8, they go to heaven and live in Heaven and in the kingdom of God. This is called the Little Flock.” The Jehovah Witness organization places themselves above the common people and Christ Himself. Christ is delegated to ruling on earth as king on Paradise, over the common folks of the Jehovah Witness. He has risen, invisible unto life, only 144,000 go to heaven to be kings and priests to rule over the people that live on paradise on earth. They rule with Jehovah God. Christ is the King of Paradise on Earth. This is the first resurrection, this happens after the 1,000 year reign of Christ. {The Little Flock 1101968009
  3. What is the purpose of the Jehovah Witness organization?
    “The leaders of the Jehovah Witness believe that God’s purpose is that the whole earth be made into a Paradise. These are people in memorial tombs, these are the people the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the grave gave up the dead in them, this collective grave will be emptied. All the billions who rest shall live again. Paul said, there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.” {}
Here the organization divides itself into two groups. The Little flock in heaven, and the great crowd on Paradise on earth. This group include the righteous (believers)and the unrighteous (unbelieving), people. The people at the top go to heaven. People at the bottom go to paradise on earth to be ruled.
    “During that period of judgment, which will last 1000 years, Christ Jesus along with the 144,000 men and woman resurrected to life in heaven will rule in heaven, and will rule over the earth. They will serve as kings and priests, administering the benefits of Jesus’ ransom sacrifice and progressively elevating faithful humans to physical and mental perfection.” {jw.orge/publications/magizines/g201001}
    “We reasoned that, if Christ’s coming and is bringing irrevocable ruin upon 99 out of a 100 of mankind, then it could scarcely be considered desirable, neither could we pray with the proper spirit, Come Lord Jesus, Come Quickly.” {Supplement to Zion’s Watchtower, And Herold of Christ’s Presence.” July 1, 1879.}
    “During the final period of the ancient world that perished in the flood, Noah was a faithful preacher of righteousness {2 Peter 2:5} In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovah’s people are making known God’s righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world {2 Peter 3:9:13} just has Noah and his God fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly organization” {}
    “How does judgment make you feel? If So, you can find comfort in the fact that judgment Day is a loving arrangement that will bring great blessings to the human family- including those who have died. Whom God placed humans on the earth, he did not intend it to “For may people the prospect of being subjected to any kind of judgment is unwelcome. Is this how it was not meant to be merely a proving ground for future life in another realm. He created humans to live forever on the earth. Although physically and mentally perfect, the first human couple rebelled against God. As result, they lost the prospect of eternal life for themselves. and brought sin and death to all their descendants. Judgment day will be a period of a 1000 years during which humans will have the opportunity to regain what Adam and Eve lost. Judgment day will affect those living on the inhabited earth. Those receiving favorable judgment will live on earth and will enjoy everlasting life in perfect conditions. Thus Judgment Day helps to accomplish God’s original purpose for humans on the earth.” {
From God’s Word, what is His purpose. Ephesians 2:1-10 (NASB) And you were dead in your trespasses and sin, in which you formally walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ, and raised us up with Him, and sealed us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Jesus Christ for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Amen and Amen
Jesus came to be the sacrifice for all man. Jesus is not exclusive, but inclusive of all peoples, nations, tribes and tongues. Jesus crosses all political and economic system. Everybody who wants to, has the opportunity to believe. The consequence is, that those who do not believe will spend the rest of the time where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Jehovah Witness hate the thought of any judgment, so it is up to them to say that God and Christ are wrong, judgment is not God’s intention, so Jehovah has turned salvation over to them. Now, only the vilest of offenders will face judgment. Even those that have never made a commitment to Jesus Christ, can be saved by believing in the Jehovah Witness, because when Christ comes, they can learn who Jehovah is.

The Second Adventists with whom Russell came in contact were members of the Advent Christian Church, who believed that Christ would return in 1874. 7. N.H. Barbour had been a member of the Advent Christian Church for a number of years prior to 1874. He was associated with Jonathan Cummings in setting the date of 1854 for the time of Christ’s return, but , unlike Cumming’s, he did not give up whe the 1854 passed without the return of Christ expected. He became an advocate of the 1873-1874 as the time of the Lord’s return, holding that the mistake of the 1843 movement was not an argument. 8. Charles Taze Russell, Harbest Gatherings and Siftings. Anger is one of the worst traits in a person’s life, It has the ability to destroy any person, but also affects friends, family and anybody that they come in contact with. If your friend gets angry with you, you will want to do something for him or her so one will not be angry with you. One may be good about masking anger at times, but if one does not get ones way, they will not have to say a word, a person’s glare and that other person will know that what they said is not what they wanted to hear. It is not your fault. They will let you know without saying anything that as a friend they will have few boundaries, but you will be expected to follow some rules if you want to be friends with this person. In other words, you look past their short comings and not remark on them and everything will be okay. They will rebel against mother and father and will defy any person that tries to exert authority. A person will use an outburst of anger to try and get one’s way. Many times it will make no difference what one does, the anger is still there. Also lying and anger can go hand in hand. If one gets caught in a lie, they get angry to try and throw the other person off of the lie. Then if you doubt them, they tell you another lie to get you off of the first lie. It is like being on an escalator, up and down, more frequent than you want.

Rebellion is a subtle form of anger. Rebellion comes out of the lack of authority in one’s life. Everybody needs authority in life. This is how we become familiar with rules and regulations. As a child and your mother and father were always giving in to you, your adult life will be difficult because you will meet people who do not care what you think or believe. It will upset you that it doesn’t make any difference if you get mad or not. As a believer, our authority is Jesus Christ and the Word of God, that sets the boundaries in a Christian’s life of right and wrong, what can be done and what can’t. It is what Christ says that counts. It is what we do in return that shows how close we follow Christ. The Ten Commandments are a good place to start. The New Testament starts refining definitions closer, and some further out. But always within the truth of Jesus Christ and the Bible. If one can look back to the older generation where there were large families, the older ones would tell the younger what to do. The younger learned that authority not only came from parents, but older siblings. My father had 13 brothers and sisters, he can remember being told what to do by older brothers and sisters. They lived on a large farm in N.W. Iowa . The parents needed all of their children to do their share of the work for the whole family. I am from a family of 5 siblings, just one cow, rabbits, chickens, and a garden, I was the youngest and had a schedule of things to do, but often changed upon what the older sibling did not want to do, and without asking me. Sometimes we shared in the duties to make things go faster. Learning this way is a very good non authoritarian way to learn. I had a friend that had three sisters, he told me once that if he didn’t want to do something, he would agree with them, and go on his way without doing anything. He said his sisters eventually would do what they had asked him to do. This is rebellion. This is silent rebellion. When one is introduced to authority in his teens or later years, rebellion is against everybody, and their actions are just try and make me do it. Many schools have had a major effect on family relations. Many schools have a class on your personal value system. In this class they are taught that you do not have to believe in any of your parents values, faith or rules. You can make up your own value system, have your own rules, own beliefs, that you want to live by. Fewer and fewer young adults believe that there is a just system and all the old rules should be replaced by their own rules that have no consequences for them. Now you know where you see the lawless students on college campuses rioting, burning and breaking things with no consequences. Now do you see where society is going, mob rule, only their rules count. What does the rules of a few lead to? Socialism, just as you see it going on today. Young people in restaurants demonstrating against authority figures, public forums interrupted because they disagree. It is a power struggle for them. They are right and you are wrong. The other aspect of this is that this person is likely to have many jobs because at a moment, any authority is displayed, they quit or are fired because of their rebellion and anger against authority. If that person would just think for a moment, there are traffic laws, school starts at a specific time, cities, counties and states make laws that we must follow. There are public norms, companies have rules for employees to follow so the work environment is healthy to work in. Look at the anger of employees that are dismissed, and then they go home get a gun and come back and shoot and kill people that did the injustice to them. We are expected to follow these rules and laws. We have been given a mind to think with, God gave us the ability to think and reason. Anger is a controllable emotion. Once we have learned that we can control other people by it, we use it until the consequences are so great that one is excluded from many functions and activities. Then we change when people will not put up with it any longer. The opposite of rebellion is obedience. Obedience to God through His Word. We can only know this by reading His Word. Another word I would like you to be familiar with is disappointment. This can lead to another and different kind of anger. This is where a person hopes that something will happen in a certain way, or wishing another person or a group to acknowledge you in some way. If it ever happens your response is sadness that turns to anger. This could be a inter-personal relationship that you were waiting for the other person to notice what you had done, or flowers, you wanted them to notice how you might have changed or looked on a special occasion something another person did not do that you wanted to have happen, but it didn’t. One can get angry because of this. Many times that person or persons didn’t even know what you wanted them to notice, or acknowledge about you. Same kind of anger with the same results. To me there is another form of anger that is just as deadly. It is what I call flash anger. It is just as deadly, because one gets angry for only seconds, but it has the same effects. It still leaves the other person bewildered of what happened. How a person in one second is normal, the next ten seconds have a change in tone of voice to react and strike the other person for what they have said or done, then the eleventh second their tone and actions are back to normal. What would you think If this happened to you. Then that person continues on like nothing happened. One makes an excuse that says it is better than staying angry for a length of time. Really, how about the other person feelings, hears the change, but does not understand what has happened. One reaction is what was that for, or what did I do to create a response like this. It is a made up offense, an anger to throw the other person off. Flash anger literally lasted several seconds. It does have a negative effect just like any other anger has. Leaving the person feeling what is wrong with them? When in fact, the angry person is the one with the problem, that they may not understand.

As a believer in Christ Jesus, we learn by His Word that His authority is good if we follow it. through our obedience, He also tells us that He has absolute authority, nobody can change it. Without an absolute no, you have absolutely yes, to anything. No, means that I am not going to do that any more. How do we obtain an absolute life. We can not get it from the world, because the world is opposed to God because these people do not want one with a moral authority to rule over them. It will impede their life or lifestyle and how they live. How do we know what the absolutes are. We only get them from God’s word. If there are actions or words spoken by you, that you want to change, write down 2 absolutes you do not want to do anymore and keep them with you, in your pocket. This will help to keep them in the frontal lob of your brain, so when one of these 2 items comes up, you can tell yourself, no, no, no.

It is Jesus Christ and the Word of God that sets the boundaries in a Christian’s life of right and wrong, what should be done and what can’t. It is what Christ says that counts. It is what we do in return that counts even more. Our very own actions eventually will tell other people what kind of Christian that we are. If we go against God’s Word, then we do not believe God, and use His Word as pretext to use His Word when it fits us.

The Ten Commandments have been around for about 3,400 years. They are the only absolutes that the Christian has to go by. The Ten Commandments were written in the Bible about 1445 BC. God has never put them on hold, or suspended any of them. They are as relevant today as they were in 1445BC. Remember Christ said that He did not come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it.

In the Bible, in the book of Genesis, brothers Cain and Abel were bringing their offerings to God, God accepted Abel’s but did not accept Cains. God saw Cains anger and his countenance fell. And said in Genesis 4:6-7 Then the Lord said to Cain, why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you have to master it. And Cain told Abel his brother, and it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. When one desires something, they will do just about anything to get it. They will work longer hours at their job to get the money to pay for it. Or one will let friends pay for it because they like him. One may also disregard, overlook, pass by what the wrong is because we desire something so much we are wanting, not see what is going on right in front of them. If something is going wrong, I’m not the one that is doing it. So it is ok. Crouching is the next word. It brought to my mind the scripture in Isaiah 5:29 Its roaring is like a lioness, and it roars like young lions; it growls as it seizes the prey, and carries it off with no one to deliver it.

Anger is the trap to enslave and entrap one for their own destruction. Anger is like a cocoon in us, it is from satan working against God and us to protect the anger inside us. Except God does not want this anger in us. That is demeaning yourself and others. The only way anyone ever becomes totally free from anger is with the Holy Spirit that lives inside a believer. That the Holy Spirit helps point us to Jesus. If we will do three things to transform our lives. Read your bible daily, make a constant effort to Pray and talk to Jesus when ever one gets a chance. As you pray to Jesus, that the Spirit that lives inside you will bring to remembrance what you have read and prayed about. The Spirit will guide us in all truth to help us change.

Before a lion goes after its prey, they crouch in the tall grass until they pick the one they want to catch, their attention is not on the herd but that one animal. When they pounce on it and get it down on the ground they sometimes growl when another lion comes up to eat. They tear into the flesh to eat and growl to protect the kill. That is what God means when He says that you have to master your anger, He wants the same focus and intensity in protecting yourself from anger. You are not to look at what other people are doing, Jesus wants us to stay away from other people that could draw us into trouble or implicate us in any scheme. If we know it is wrong, it is wrong, James 4:17 Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does it not do it, to him it is sin. We have to learn some people may talk about us, It is hard to pay them no attention, do what is right, but that is what we have to do. Pay them no attention. How soon do we want to be done with this part of our life? Do what we are supposed to do. Do not try and sit on both sides the fence. God wants us to attack our anger in the same way as the lioness attacks her prey. When we do not attack our anger in this manner we will be willing to live with the anger and struggle with its consequences. Another way to look at this is if you do not master your anger, your anger will be your master. We are strong enough and know enough to stay out of trouble. Don’t let what other people say about you or what they want us to do wrong, or suck you into doing something wrong, just remember, we are the sons and daughters of Christ, that alone should guide us into righteousness and calmness of your soul. Christ wants us to be content with what we have and let Him provide our needs as we need them. Philippians 4:11-12 Not that I speak from want; for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. Sometimes it is better to be in need than in prosperity, in need you are looking at the Lord Jesus for your needs, and in prosperity, one is looking for another way to live a better life.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 Do not be eager in your heart to be angry, for anger resides in the bosom of fools. Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stirs up anger. Proverbs 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city. Proverbs 15:32-33 He who neglects discipline despises himself, but he who listens to reproof acquires understanding. 33. The fear of the Lord is instruction for wisdom, and before honor comes humility.
Psalm 30:5 For His anger is but for the moment, His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. This is what Christ does for us. Which would you rather be known for? Determine in your heart, and mind to do it, then do not waiver in yourself, be steadfast. Your help will come from above to help you through any and every situation that comes your way. Attack your problems, do not shy away from them, take control of your faith, let Christ be your teacher and guide, and anger will be the by word. Will you ever get mad, yes but you will be able to handle it in a different way, that is not destructive, but constructive.

Would you like to accept Jesus today? You can do this just by bowing your head and ask Jesus into your life, to help guide you, and seek His wisdom to help you through the changes of becoming a believer in Christ. This will not be easy, but God says He will never leave you or forsake you, or would you like to rededicate your life to Him who first saved you?

The Tares, The Chaff and the Wheat

The Tares, the Chaff and the Wheat Article 21 March 7, 2018

My reverence in this article is the statement below. Say it to yourself, God Loves Me!

God Loves you! He is waiting to hear your voice asking Him to come into your life.

Characteristics of the ungodly = Tares

In this parable we have the perpetual battle between good and evil. God sows the good seed, satan comes along under the cover of darkness and sows the evil seed. The evil seed of satan is to get people to not believe in God, satan will get you to believe him by a lie or deception, satan will try to make God look petty, In His Word by going against a societal norms. When satan deceived Eve, God passed judgment on satan and said, “because you have done this, cursed are you more than cattle, than the beast of the field, dust you shall eat and I will put animosity between you and the woman, between her seed and your seed. The only question that remains is this, how may people will go to the pit with him? Those who do not want to believe are those with some moral issues, because they would have to change if they believed. They would rather go to the pit with satan than change. Genesis 1:1-31
1. And this is the Judgment, that the light came into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds be exposed. 2. Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so; and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 3. They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed. 4. For the wicked boast if his heart’s desire, and the greedy man curses and spurns the Lord. The wicked, in the haughtiness of his countenance, does not seek Him, all his thoughts are, there is no God. His ways prosper at all times; Thy judgments are on high, out of his sight; as for all his adversaries, he snorts at them. He says to himself, I shall not be moved; throughout all generations I shall not be in adversity. His mouth is full of curses and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and wickedness, He sits in the lurking places in the villages; in the hiding places he kills the innocent; his eyes stealthily watch for the unfortunate. He lurks in a hiding place as a lion in his lair; he lurks to catch the afflicted; he catches the afflicted when he draws him into his net. He crouches, he bows down, and the unfortunate fall by his mighty ones. He says to himself, God has forgotten; He has hidden his face; He will never see it. 5. Being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without standing, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. 6. And you are dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course if this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. 7. But these, like unreasoning animals, born of creatures of instincts to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed, suffering wrong as the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, having eyes full of adultery and that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; forsaking the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Baalam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, but received a rebuke for his own transgression; from a dumb donkey speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet. These are the springs of water, and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved. For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption, for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved. For if after they have escaped the defilement’s of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them.
1. John 3:19-20 2. Romans 8:7 3. Titus 1:16 4. Psalms 10:3-11 5. Romans 1:29-32 6.Ephesians 3:1-3 7. 2 Peter 2:12-22

People are like chaff, wicked people, that have no roots, are tossed here and there by what they think or want to do at the moment. If they are following satan instead of Jesus. When wheat is ripe and ready for harvest, they used to pick the heads of the wheat stocks to bring to the threshing floor in a cart. They would then beat the wheat to separate the wheat kernel from the chaff. Sometimes they would make fodder by mixing chaff and stubble, then feed it to the animals as a supplement. Chaff and stubble have no nutritional value. Satan lies to people to get them to come to his side. Lying, murder, stealing, being insulant to parents has no value in any society. Jesus on the other hand will show you the value of a truthful life, lived before Him has value to Him and to you, to society, to family, and how much change will be seen in you. Would you like to live your life in truth and justice?

How acting like chaff and stubble bring us to trouble. Chaff and stubble are compared to evil people through out the bible.

If the gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is in the image of God. (2 Corinthian 4:3-4) How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night . And he will be firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away. (Palms 1:1-4) Now I will arise, says the Lord. now I will be exalted, now I will be lifted up. You have conceived chaff, you will give birth to stubble; My breath will consume you like a fire. And the peoples will be burned to lime, like thorns which are burned in the fire. (Isaiah 33:10-12) The prophet who has a dream may relate his dream, but let him who has My Word speak My Word in truth. What does straw have in common with grain? declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:28) Alas, the uproar of many peoples who roar like the roaring of the seas, and the rumbling of the nations who rush on like the rumbling of mighty waters! But He will rebuke them and they will flee far away, and be chased like chaff in the mountains before the wind, or like whirling dust before a gale. (Matthrew 3:12) And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear the threshing floor, and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Isaiah 17:12-13) And the greatness of thine excellence Thou dost overthrow those who rises up against Thee; Thou dost send forth Thy burning anger, and it consumes them like chaff. (Exodus 15:7) How often is the lamp of the wicked put out, or does their calamity fall on them? Does God apportion destruction is His anger? Are they like straw before the wind, and like chaff which the storm carries away? (Job 21:17-18) But the multitude of your enemies shall become like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff which blows away; and it shall happen instantly, suddenly. (Isaiah 29:5-6) Now I will arise, says the Lord, now I will be exalted, now I will be lifted up. You have conceived chaff, you will give birth to stubble; My breath will consume you like stubble; My breath will consume you like a fire. And the peoples will be burned to lime, like cut thorns which I burned in the fire. (Isaiah 33:10-12) Gather yourselves together, yes, gather, O nation without shame, before the decree takes effect, the day passes like the chaff, before the burning anger of the Lord comes upon you, before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you. (Zephaniah 2:1-2) And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear the threshing floor; and He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Matthew 3:12)

He presented another parable to them saying, The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in His field. But while the men were sleeping, His enemy came and sowed tares also among the wheat, and went away. But when the wheat sprang up and bore grain, then the tares became evident also. And the slaves of the landowner came and said to Him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? And He said to them, a enemy has done this! And the slaves said to Him, do you want us, then, to go and gather them up? But He said no; lest while you are gathering up the tares, you may root up the wheat with them. Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, first gather up the tares and bind them in bundles to burn up; but gather the wheat into my barn. (Matthew 13:24-30)
After reading what the people of satan are like and thinking about what is happening in our society, the shootings, killing, robberies, and the amount of robberies that happen even when the people are home. It seems that there is no regard for what other people have worked for, if someone else wants it, they take it, and even kill for it. God loves what He made because after each day He said and it was good. They rob God, of giving God any glory. His invitation in John 3:16 shows the depth of God’s love. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not parish, but have everlasting life.

God loved everything that He made. He made everything for man that was formed and made by God. He breathed into our nostrils to give us life, and a mind so we could praise Him for it. The mind He gave man, named all the animals, He loved us so much He did not not want our soul to perish. that He sent His son to be beaten, flogged, a crown of thorns to be pushed down on His head, then they drove nails through His hands to keep Him on the cross. God proved His love to man by this act. Yet, man curses God, steals, kills men, women, and children to get what they want, that somebody worked hard to buy. Yet, God say’s, come, I love you, I will forgive you, I can change you, I can help you and show what my love is really like. Just turn from your wicked ways, acknowledge me, and I will give you rest, in your mind, heart and soul.

I was told one time that a life was like looking through a knothole in a fence. When a person looks through the knothole, one can only see a very small part of what is on the other side of the fence. We cannot see what is down the road. We have to take it as we walk. There will be some good things and bad things on or around the road. That road is our lives. There is a book called “To wager her heart”, by Tamera Alexander, she said “God alone sees our lives from start to finish and ordains what the suffering of you and me will be. For He alone sees what we must endure to become more like His Son and be made ready for eternity”.

In the parable of the wheat and tares, it talks about the field. The field that Christ claimed was the world. He made it from something formless and void to something He loved. Genesis 1:1-10 He claimed the domain of mankind. He claims it because He made it, and In that domain, earth, Christ sows the good seed, then the evil enemy, satan or the devil, comes along by stealth and sows the bad seeds, tares grow. Tares are a plant that looks like wheat stock, but never forms any wheat. When good people sleep, the enemy of God, satan or the devil, sneaks in and plants seed that look the same, but have very different views of what is right and wrong. When the slaves of the owner question Him about His field, the owner states that it is His and He only planted the good seed. Then the slaves who attend the field, asked, should we remove the tares, And Christ says no, if you pull the tares out, you could also pull wheat out too. Both seeds are a reference to people on the earth. The seeds look alot alike until the wheat have heads of the grain are formed, and one can really tell the difference. Since these seeds stand for people, they both have the same needs, as jobs to earn a living, wives, children, rub shoulders together, like sports, cars, or other hobbies, they enjoy doing things together. but the good seed looks to Christ for their needs and help. They believe that Christ has the answers of life on earth and eternal life after death. We may like a lot of the same things. But what is believed in truth is much different. Believers have to walk a very fine line. We are supposed to influence them, but we are not to be influenced by them. But Christ would not have us treat them with any less dignity, love, kindness, truth and respect. (Ephesians 4:25) Christ wants us to be a witness to them, but they could turn around and persecute us, to give them life needs and life’s answers. If you treat non believers as the devil, you will never win them over. We can never save anyone, we can point them in the direction of Christ, but it is up to Christ to finish what was started. There is an old saying on the farm, you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink. During the Billy Graham funeral, Franklin Graham said his dad talked about FAT. What FAT stands for is, Faithfulness, Availability, and Time. What Christ wants from us is our faithfulness, availability and our time to Him in all truth, to the best of our ability. Our ability increases as we read our bible day to day and year by year. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in Heaven. (Matthew 5:16)

The harvest time is mentioned. Harvest time for the believer and the non believer is death. Both lead to judgment, judgement for the believer is eternal life through the death in Christ. For the unbeliever it is an eternity of fire and brimstone without God. Judgment for the people of this world have the same common end, death. (Hebrews 9:27) But in death we go to two very different places. Those who believe in God and accept Jesus as their Savior, go into the Kingdom of Heaven. Our spirit goes to God and our body goes into the ground to be reunited at the resurrection when Christ returns. Our body and spirit are then reunited and are with Christ for eternity. This is when we receive the new spiritual body, one that will never decay. (Philippians 3:20-21) A believer will have no past sin to worry about, but in Isaiah The people who have never taken Christ as their personal savior go into the grave to go before God at the Great White Throne judgment. It says that at harvest, bundle the tares to burn up, gather My wheat into My barn. At Christs return when our body and spirit are reunited, then we will pass before the judgment seat of Christ to collect our rewards for what we have done for Christ in our lifetime. And I (John) saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from those present, earth and heaven fled away, no place was found for them. “And I saw the dead, the great and the small standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is The Book of Life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, everyone according to their deeds. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The second death, the Lake of Fire. And if anyone’s name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 19:11-13

Jesus has given His love to all, everybody, in every nation, every tongue. Jesus said come. When you come to Jesus He will put His arms around you and say welcome home. Jesus has given His love to you, before you have given yours to Him. God’s word says He loved us while we were yet sinners. Would you accept His love and give Him yours? You will see in time that you have received far more in return than you have ever given back..

Trust and Obey Article 20

Reverence by King David to our God                                           Article 20, February 9  2018

Blessed art thou, O Lord God of Israel our father for ever and ever. You O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and majesty, indeed everything that is in the heaven and the earth; This is your dominion, O Lord, You do exalt yourself as head over all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you do rule over all, and in your hand is power and might; and it lies in your hand to make great, and to strengthen everyone. Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name. But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from you, this from your hand, and we give this back to you. I Chronicles 29:10-14 What David is talking about here is giving back to God all the gold and silver of his that he had accumulated over the years he was king, and the donations from the people to build the temple.

What are two actions that Christ says we can do in our lives that will make a difference.
Trust Him and Obey Him

There is a song that most of us have sung, it is, “Trust and Obey”. The words fits this article and they are very true.

1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His word, what glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will He abides with us still, and with all who will trust and obey.

2.Not a shadow can raise, not a cloud in the skies, but His smile quickly drives it away; not a doubt nor a fear, not a sigh nor a tear, can abide while we trust and obey.

3.Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, but our toil He doth richly repay; not a grief not a loss, not a frown or a cross, but is blest if we trust and obey.                                                                                                                                                                            4.But we never can prove the delights of His love until all on the altar we lay; for the favor He shows and bestows are for them who will trust and obey.                                                                                                                                                                                   5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends us we will go, never fear, only trust and obey.

In the Old Testament, it is meant for us to see how God worked in the lives of His people Israel. Once they left Egypt God made it a It is in the Bible for us to see how God communicated with man and how man talked and worked with God. It is written also to show who would not follow God or trust Him in their lives personally or corporately when it comes to the beginning of Israel in Egypt. For many years I believed that because His people had lived in Egypt for 400 years and was used to that culture, and ways of life it would only be natural for them to follow the Egyptian gods even after seeing the miracles that God had performed. After years of reading my Bible, that is the exact reason for God’s miracles for Israel. He wanted to show them the power and might He would bring to bear on their enemies to trust Him. Therefore the amazing miracles shown to the people of Israel, and to all the people and nations that Israel came across. They were not afraid of Israel, but the God of Israel, because they heard the news of how many nations they had displaced because of God, not Israel. It is willful disobedience of God and not wanting Him to rule and guide them and be their savior and protector.  And all the people perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it , they trembled and stood at a distance. Then they said to Moses, speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, lest we die. And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain within you, so that you may not sin.  (Exodus 20:18-20)
Israel was given two alternatives. Salvation for obedience. Disobedience would lead to captivity. This did happen to the 10 northern tribes of Israel some 860 years after they had left Egypt. This is why we should take note of this next verse.  “Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, the Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness and truth”. Ex. 34:6

Truth brings compassion for people, truth shows no malice of intent, and truth is kindness to all people. That is the intent of God and His nature. God in giving you a life and time to come to a saving faith is long-suffering, 60, 70, 80 years is a long time for you to find God, in His love, He reveals himself to you. God will always deal with you in truth, and never a lie to you. When He disciplines you, it is for you to learn His truth and ways. He wants to break us of bad habits, language, deeds, lies and deceit. God does not break us of our bad habits, He lets us go until it gets so bad that the only thing we can do is turn to Him for help in correcting the problems we have created for ourselves. We can look at it this way, God did not break us, we broke ourselves. Then, Jesus is there to help pick us up. I always walked right by you without a thought of what I was doing. You were waiting for me to come to an end of myself, and start looking for you. All of this has do with us not trusting in Christ. Thinking that we do not need any help or anyone to tell us what we need to do.   For our hope rejoices in His holy name. (Psalm 33:21) “May Thy lovingkindness also come to me, O Lord,Thy salvation according to Thy Word: So I shall have a answer for him who reproaches me, for I trust in Thy Word. (Psalm 119:41-42)

In order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, “Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom My Soul is well pleased; I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall proclaim justice to the gentiles, He will not quarrel, nor cry out; nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets. A battered reed He will not break off, and a smoldering wick He will not put out, until He leads Justice to victory. And in His name the gentiles will hope.” (Matthew 12:17-21)
After you have known God and Christ after reading His Word, He will talk to us the exact same way in which you read His Word. He speaks only truth, He will always do what is best for us, not necessarily what we want. He will discipline you, but what father does not discipline his children. It is not to demean or make us feel bad for doing wrong, but a nudge to do better next time. If Christ asked men to forgive 490 times, how many times do you think He will forgive you. He said there is no limit to His love. That is how He disciplines you, through His love. It is called TRUST, trust in each other for me to never bring a reproach upon the other, that is how much we mean to Him. Also wrapped up in His trust is His promises to those who have taken Christ as their Savior. We trust Him to give us the promises at the exact time that we need each one.

What do you see in the the word Obey? What do you think when you see the word obey? And how do you think that Christ meant for you to read the word obey? Remember He will work with each one of us to come to what it should mean to each one of us. The Ten Commandments is a good place to start with the word obey. Those are commands that do not ask us to go deeper. We know the consequences of murder, lying, stealing etc. External obeys are Ten commandments that we know that are wrong. Internal obeys makes us look inside of ourselves to see if we are emulating Christ, in word and deed. Christ’s word goes much deeper and more personal than one thinks. The new testament shows us the depth of Obey. In John 12:49-50 Jesus says, “For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me, has given Me commandment, what to say, and what to speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak as the Father has told me. Notice, it is not commandments, but commandment, 1 only. That commandment is to tell the people about eternal life through faith. It is our walk that will show who we belong to and our testimony. When Christ wants us to learn about Obey, that would change our walk and lives for Christ. Lets go back to the trial when Christ was before Pilot. Jesus did not answer any of Pilots questions, but responded to one by saying”it is as you say.” In Mark 15:15 there are two words in that verse, Jesus scourge.” It is thought that the Romans put more than 39 lashes with the whip on His back. In any sense of the word, His back was laid open, and bloody, the pain He endured was not over, now they took a crown of thorns and pushed them on His head several times. Now His head was bleeding also. Then they put a robe on Him, over the open wounds. Then they sent Him back to Pilot to be given to the Jews for crucifixion. It was a Roman custom to make the accused to carry the top cross to the place of crucifixion. The cross piece of the cross that weighed between 50 to 75 lbs. He was so weak that He could not carry this cross member, Simon of Syrene was given the task of carrying Christ’s cross. When He got to the Hill, his body was laid on the cross and then nailed His hands and feet to the cross. In Isaiah 42:2-3 it say’s, He will not cry out or raise His voice, nor make His voice heard in the street. A bruised reed He will not break, and a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully bring forth justice.” In all that pain it would be natural to cry out in pain. but He didn’t, He was obeying God the Father as part of His message through humiliation, death, and resurrection as the example for believers will know what Jesus truly did pay the debt for my sin.

What were some of Jesus’s actions that we can learn the ultimate lesson of Obey and do it like Christ. “Let there be no retaliation for the wrong that is done to you. We live in an age that it is acceptable to retaliate in some manner when something is done to you.” Matthew 5:39-42, But Jesus said, “But I say to you, do not resist him who is evil, but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two.” “Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1) “This you know, me beloved, brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” (James1:19,21)
If Jesus is consistent with the Matthew 5:39 verse where we do see Him practicing the idea of non retaliation. Matthew 26:64-68 Jesus was before the High priest before Pilot. He was asking Jesus questions and Jesus responded and said my teaching was done in the Temple, or in public. Jesus said “hereafter you shall see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven.” This is when the High Priest tore his cloths, and said that He has blasphemed, and said we have not need of further witnesses. Another said He is deserving of death. Then the people around the high priest spit on Jesus face, beat Him with fists, and others slapped Him. Jesus did not retaliate. Companion verses, John 18:22-23. Do not be overcome by evil, but over come evil with good.        Romans 12:21

But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed, and do not fear their intimidation, and do not be troubled, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and respect; and keep a good conscience so that in the thing you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better, if you should will it so, that you suffer for doing right rather than doing what is wrong. I Peter 3:14-15

In Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, we see Jesus healing people that came to Him or that other people brought to Him. He healed them all. (Luke 4:40) Jesus answered and said, “this voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes. Now judgment is upon the world; now the ruler of this world shall be cast out, and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself. John 12:31-32 Acts 5:29, 32 But Peter and the apostles answered and said, we must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you have put to death by hanging Him on a cross. He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses. Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteousness? (Romans 6:16) And having been made perfect, (by His scourging, death, and resurrection) He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation. (Hebrews 5:9) For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (I Peter 4:17)

Another word that we can put with obey is contentment. When we obey, we are obeying the wishes of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In obeying and knowing that we are doing what He wants us to do, this brings contentment to our lives. Many things happen to us in the course of our lives. No one is exempt from sickness, deceases, famine, torture, ridicule, and anything else one can think of. What Christ wants from Christians is how we respond to adversity. He wants us to rely on Him for the help that we need just to get us through the day. I have a friend with cancer. He has had cancer about 8 years, and he told me one day that when this news came to him, Jesus talked to him and said this can be an adventure or a pity party. He has looked at it as an adventure and is happy that he is still here. In this adventure you will have ups and downs, good and bad days, but I will be with you every step of the way. Only look to me, trust me, that the doctors are doing the right thing. I am your rock. What a love story in Christ, trusting and obeying. This man has taken obedience to heart. I read in a book, I do not remember who wrote it, This person said “Sometimes God calms the storm, sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His children.
Praise the Lord Jesus

Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay, say the Lord. (Romans 12:19) But put on the Lord Jesus Christ , and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts. (Romans 12:21

He that knows to do good and does it not, to him it is sin.   James 4:17

How do we anchor ourselves to the Savior of our souls Article 19

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters the veil.

Reverence:  Psalm 28:6-7 Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplication. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.

Being alone with Christ. If one has not spent a lot of solitude time with Christ in your hard times, and more often than not, if a person does not grow close to Christ in prayer, reading, and thinking upon God’s directions to improve your life, when times get good again, one will move away and not continue on the personal journey, and you begin to drift from the close walk with the Lord. Be able to draw on His grace and mercy and be committed to do what you need to do in good times. The relationship you start with Christ at the very beginning, is how you will be with Christ the rest of your life. It is Christ alone, it is He who will spend as much time as we need to learn and be the type of person He wants us to be. Just Jesus and you alone, quietly talking together, working out any problems that you have, for you are in the presence of God, who has all wisdom, grace and mercy. Every answer you will ever need is found in your relationship with Him.
1. But He would slip away to the wilderness and pray.  2. And it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.  3. Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your father who is in heaven. When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men, truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.  4. And after He had sent the multitudes away, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.  5. And in the early morning, while it was still dark, He arose and went out and departed to a lonely place, and was praying there.  6. And when you pray, you are not to be as the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, in order to be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to the Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

1. Draw nye unto me and I will draw nye unto you.  2. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; be zealous therefore, repent. Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.  3. Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.  4. Then Jesus said to His disciples, if anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life, shall lose his life;  5. If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My name sake shall find it. For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For what will a man profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul.  What does my cross look like? Only Jesus knows the answer to that.  6. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.

Anchor, as a verb, is an action word, to hold in place, not left to drift.

Hebrews 6:19 is the only place that anchor is used. It has a singular purpose. Christ our anchor, the anchor was the symbol of the early church for a very long time. An anchor does weigh any where from 20 lbs to thousands of pounds to hold a ship. An anchor does not change shape over time, even rusted it looks the same. The purpose has not changed. The anchor has not changed.  1. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. An anchor saves a ship from moving from its moorage place. Christ grounds us by faith in Him because He will never change his mind or changes the rules that govern the life of a believer. Christ became the anchor because He cannot be moved by excuses, or sin,  2. I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for my name sake; and I will remember their sins no more. Christ is perfect and sinless. Man has the responsibility to conform to Christ and His word, not Christ conforming to what we want Him to do for us, because man changes his mind daily on many subjects.  3. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more. He has called us to faith,  4. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, be craftiness in deceitful scheming.

1. If you would direct your heart right, and spread out your hand to Him; if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents. Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, and you would be steadfast and not fear. 2. And not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not prepare its heart, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. 3. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a away that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all the things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable Therefore, I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified 4. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 5. Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of the faith, who for joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, for consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart. 6. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end. 7. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert, your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith; knowing the the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. 8. Because you have kept the word of my perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one takes your crown.

1.Is not your fear of God your confidence, and the integrity of your ways your hope?  2. But He who saves from the sword of their mouth, and the poor from the hand of the mighty. So the helpless have hope, and unrighteousness must shut its mouth.  3. So are the paths of all who forget God, and the hope of the godless will perish. So are the paths of all who forget God, and the hope of the godless will perish.  4. Then you would trust, because there is hope, and you look around and rest securely.  5. Then indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, and you would be steadfast and not fear. For you would forget your trouble, as waters that have passed by, you would remember it. And your life would be brighter than noon day; darkness would be like the morning.  6. For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God requires his life.  7. Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord.  8. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His loving kindness, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His name. Let thy loving kindness, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.  9. For I hope in thee, O Lord; thou wilt answer , O Lord my God.  10. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance, and my God.  11. But as for me, I will hope continually, and I will praise thee yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, and of thy salvation all the day long; for I do not know the sum of them.  12. Sustain me according to Thy word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.  13. I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in the word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.  14. How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God; who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever. 15. The hope of the righteous is gladness, but expectations of the wicked perishes.  16. Hope deferred make the heart sick, but the desire fulfilled is a tree of life.  17. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord.  18. Having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.  19. Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.  20. For the creation was subjected to futility, of if its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? But we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.  21. Rejoicing in Hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.  22. For whatever was written in earlier times, was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  23. For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.  24. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.  25. Remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.  26. According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ shall even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or death.  27. Because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel. If indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I Paul, was made a minister. To whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of the mystery among the gentiles, which is, Christ in you , the hope of glory.  28. For who is our hope or joy or crown of exhultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?  29. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.  30. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace.  31. Instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.  32. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end. I order that the two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope set before us. 33.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy, has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Therefore grid your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 34. But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.  35. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be, We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

It will come at a time when one understands the truth of His Word and works. Read and it is true. From hope to assurance. immersed in His word. Hope should only be for a little while. Until you know that no one can remove you from Christ to where we will ascend to Christ and meet Him in the air. There is not a definite time when one comes to that understanding. But the more time you spend with Him in the Word, prayer, doing the works that He wants us to do, then you will know that your knowledge and love for Christ, is not hope, but a reality that you really do belong to Him, and He looks at you as a son or daughter in Christ Jesus. “And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received from us the word of God’s message, you accepted it ot as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.” I Thessalonians 2:13

1. But I will raise up for myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and in my soul; and I will build him an enduring house, and He will walk before My anointed always.  2. Please forgive the transgression of your maidservant; for the Lord will certainly make for my lord an enduring house because my lord is fighting the battles of the LORD, and evil shall not be found in you all your days.  3. The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.  4. Thy testimonies are fully confirmed; Holiness benefits thy house, O LORD, forevermore.  5. The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. 6. To separate the Holy from the unholy. The original Tabernacle and the temple had the veil between the tent of meeting (common place for the people) and the Holy of Holies (where God dwelt). The veil was the separation of God and sinful man. When Christ was crucified, it was at His death, that the veil was torn from top to bottom, to signify that because of the sinless Christ was the sacrifice for all sinners, once for all time. Christ became to be the go between the Holy God and sinful man. Christ took the the veil away, Christ did what the sacrifice of bulls, lambs and rams could not do, the sacrifice of the animal was the covering for sin, Christ was the sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin when the sin is asked for forgiveness, it is granted, unconditionally. Because Jesus paid the price, the veil was no longer needed, a person no longer has to go to a priest or prophet to find out what God wants you to do. God put everything into Jesus’s hands for the salvation and forgiveness of sin. Of all peoples and nations. Jesus is the final and only judge that has been given to man to given the opportunity for eternal life by faith in Jesus Christ.
1. And behold , the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split.  2. And behind the second veil , there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold in which was a golden jar holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod which budded, and the tables of the covenant. And above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail.  3. Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh and spilt blood, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water, let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.

What is your life like? Are you going from day to day with no meaning in life? Do You get up and go through the day with only some interaction from other people in your life? Is your day full of mundane duties. Everything about the day is about what you need to get done? I, I, I, or me, me, me. This is where faith in Jesus Christ could change your life. Christ wants to fill you with His Spirit through faith in Him. He wants to give your life purpose. When your life has purpose, others will benefit from that purpose. He wants you to move beyond self, but you have to start looking how you can help others during the course of your day. It may be as little as giving somebody a smile, it will be always welcoming, a word of encouragement, open the door for another person who may have have their hands full. The other thing you can do is go visit some elderly person in a retirement center. There are many people there that have no family, or they never come to see them. You could not only be a friend to them, but they could become of friend to you as well. these are only suggestions, make a small list of what might interest you. What you will find is, it takes little time to help another person. Let Christ come alive in your life, and lead you in His way, you will be happy, and others around you will be happy too.

Article 18 October 11-17 Rough wood and Sandpaper

Reverence Jude 24,25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
I was sitting in church one Sunday and Jesus asked me this question? how are people like a rough piece of wood. I work with wood so I knew that rough unfinished wood needs sand paper to get it smoothed out. there are many different grits of sand paper, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 180, 200, 220. The lower the number, more course the paper. Somebody that has had a very hard, and difficult life needs to be smoothed a little more than somebody that heard the message of Jesus and responded to His call. The more difficult life, will need Christ to work with them more to rid themselves of sins of their life. What is that grit that we can receive to help remove the rough edges, and have it change our lives? God’s Word is the sandpaper. The more you read and learn, the more you put His Word into practice in your life to remove the rough edges, the more you read and put into action God’s Word in your life the smoother one becomes. Also it teaches us self control. The lack of Self control means that you do not know how to discipline yourself. You have not been able to say no to yourself to keep yourself from going places or doing things that do not show that one can control their actions and not mastered self discipline yet. The sanding only can begin when one accepts Christ. That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10

New believers, or believers who have lived life as an unbeliever, are like rough wood, their lives have been course and rough. One’s life does not get their attention until a shock wave comes in the form of some sort of personal repercussions because of ones long standing words and actions that someone gets tired and says that is enough, I’m out of here, a death, sickness. And in that moment, you are dumb founded and say, what is going on. Then reality has set in and you realize that you have said and done some real terrible and dumb things and it has come to an end The Lord wanted to get your attention and He has any number of ways in doing that. Your eyes have been opened, and there is no going back. This is where sandpaper comes in. Your deeds and actions are like very rough wood. Rough people need rough sand paper. For those who have a disease you can have the same kind of bewilderment of why me? Some people get angry, or fall into God’s loving arms to get help in dealing with the disease.

How is sandpaper made? The surface is made of coarse pulverized granules glued or bonded to the sanding surface on the disc. The fine grit is for finished sanding, which is very smooth paper to the touch. One might look at the different courses of sand paper as our new lives in Christ. New believers or one rededicating their lives, start out coming out of the world, lying, cheating, swearing, drinking, drugs, sexually active, maybe they have been incarcerated for murder, theft, or other crimes. The Lord knows how much our lives need refining and what we need most at this time. Many times what we have created in our lives bring great pain later. That is what sin does, brings much pain into ones life.

People believing or unbelieving all start at the same place with Christ, all are babes or beginners in Christ. Sometimes we have had a checkered past because of the lack of knowing about Christ and the commandments. These are His basic rules. You will have no other Gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven, and you shall not worship them. You shall not take the Lord’s name in vain. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against you neighbor. You shall not covet his wife, or any of his servants, or any of his livestock, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. Jesus says that if you have committed any of these, you have committed them all. No body is without sin. No matter of our sin, we must realize we are all sinners to a Holy God, we are still sinners, that is the point, Jesus is the only one that can take my sin away. His blood paid my penalty, and your penalty, by going through the scourging, before they took Him to the cross, once there, they nailed His hands and feet to the cross to keep Him there, He bled, and died for our sin, that was the payment for the forgiveness of sin. Then He rose from the dead, back to life, Christ is the only first fruits. The Lord Jesus wants us to be able to have self control in every part of our lives. We are not supposed to react to everything that somebody else does or says to us.

1. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. 2. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (Sound judgment) 3. But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father; and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My bretheran, these things ought not be this way. 4. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city. 5. Not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For let him who love life and see good days refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from peaking guile. And let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 6. Depart from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it, for the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 7. This you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. 8. Do not go out hastily to argue your case; otherwise, what will you do in the end, when your neighbor puts you to shame? Argue your case with your neighbor, and do not reveal the secret of another. 9. I urge you therefore, bretheren by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to God , which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. 10. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, what ever is right, whatever is pure, whatever lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of all peace shall be with you. 11. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert, your adversary the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 12. Submit therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify hearts, you double minded. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. 13. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
1. I Corinthians 10:13, 2. I Timothy 1:7, 3. James 3:8-10, 4. Proverbs 16:32, 5. I Peter 3:9-12, 6. Psalms 34:14-15, 7. James 1:19-20, 8. Proverbs 25:8,9, 9. Romans 12:1-2, 10. Philippians 4:8, 11. I Peter 5:6-8, 12. James 4:7-10, 13. Philippians 4:13.

The more our lives are in Christ, our abrasive deeds and personalities start disappearing from our lives. The person starts knocking off the rough edges of ones life. As that person matures, 100, 200 grit paper is used. The word of God is that refining miracle that takes place. This person is learning how to control the temper, stop drinking, stop swearing, and instead of these things in life, they are gone, they have been going to church, reading their bible, and maybe have gotten into a bible study to learn more quickly. Now they do not need any more sandpaper to smooth off the rough edges. What still needs to be done is to be on guard that any part of the old life style does not creep back into ones life ever again. Only Jesus knows which course of sand paper you need.
The more you read the quicker you understand and learn. There will be people who do not accept change in their life even a little bit, they stop reading, and think that where I am is just fine, they will never really get to the end of needing more sand paper to get them out off a bad cycle. Man will always need God’s word, because just as you get one challenge ended that our adversary the devil will bring something more into ones life to throw you off a little again. That is why you need the whole counsel of God. You will not need or think about sand paper again. Because the Holy Spirit that is inside you, He is helping you keep those rough edges from effecting you the way they did before you started your walk with Christ. All of this comes down to our behavior, it is in our control, but will we control it or let it control us.

One Sunday we had the pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle church in Brooklyn, New York. He knew a man that had turned to drugs, leaving two children and his wife to live on the streets. One Sunday evening, in the service the whole church was praying for this man. Much to every body’s surprise, he walked through the door and gave his life to Christ. The pastor went up to give him a hug, and as he gave him a hug God spoke to him and said, Do not feel sorry for this man and think lesser of him because he smells. This smell I love, because a man has come out of the world, and into my kingdom to learn from me and live with me forever. Jesus is His name, and only He can change our lives, because man cannot change anything without God to Help him.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Works of the flesh

Galatians 5:19-21Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, ad things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Why is the Temple so important to God and what is its functions?

Daniel 2:20-23 Daniel answered and said, “Let the name of God be blessed for ever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. And it is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men, and knowledge to men of understanding, It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him. To Thee, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for thou hast given me wisdom and power; even now Thou hast made known to me what we requested of thee, for Thou hast made known to us the king’s matter.”

Why is the Temple so important to God and what are its functions?

Is there any difference in the tabernacle and the Temple of God. who is it meant for, God or man? Many of us will never get the opportunity to see the earthly temple because of geographical location. The temple we as believers will see is the Temple made without hands where God and Christ are the temple, and its light is God. Actually the Tabernacle was the beginning of saving Israel and introducing Israel to God and His expectations. The Tabernacle was the way to get people to think about God, by always having His presence with Israel.
A little history. God had not spoken to any man of the captivity in Egypt for 400 years, from the time of the death Joseph who held a High possession in Pharaohs court. The the Bible says that a new leader came along that knew not Joseph. And that is where Israel became slave labors. God spoke to Moses, to go to the leaders of Israel in Egypt and tell them God is here to bring you out of the captivity, to take you to a place flowing with milk and honey, you will be His people and He will be your God. A good land that you can work for yourselves and be prosperous. God led them out of Egypt with great miracles and signs, but they chose to complain at every juncture saying, we will be killed by the Egyptians, we have no water, we have no meat, God, you have brought us out of Egypt to kill us in the desert. Should all the signs and wonders be enough for the people to see who was leading them? Then God made it easy for them, giving them two rules to live by. 1. Obedience and I will bless you. 2. Disobedience and I will curse you. Because of their disobedience God told them they were going to wander for forty years until the disobedient people were dead. Now we come to the building of the tabernacle. God says the Tabernacle was a place to bring tithes and offerings as your heart leads you. Come into My house to pray to me, the Priests will sacrifice your animals for the covering of your sin. God wanted to speak to them, for them to listen to Him. They said no thank you. God knew that captivity had brought a hardness of heart. They were skeptical of following the leaders and God Himself. They had no reference point of contact or thought about God. Then, Moses shows up in their camp and says that God has heard their cry. God is a stranger to them. Skeptical people do not like to be tested or follow blindly, but God wanted just that. Even today, He wants us to trust Him, why? Because He is God and Jesus Christ, they know all things and control all things. We can trust Him, we cannot see His moves or His actions, but He wants us to trust and obey just as He did with the Israelite’s.
Hebrews 9:1-10 Now even the first covenant had regulations of divine worship and the earthly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle prepared, the outer one, in which were the lamp stand and the table and the sacred bread; this is called the holy place, and behind the second veil, there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod which budded, and the tables of the covenant. And above it were the Cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail. Now when these things have been thus prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle, performing the divine worship, but into the second only the high priest enters, once a year, not without taking blood, which offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance. The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed, while the outer tabernacle is still standing, which by symbol for the present time, accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, since they relate only to food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.
Israel is awaiting for a new Temple to be built, so they can once again offer sacrifices as they did when the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. Since they do not recognize Christ as Messiah, they are waiting to start the sacrificial system once again. The one thing that is stopping this from happening is the Muslim Dome of the Rock, taking the temple mount location. The whole temple mount area is in control of the Muslims. There are temple pillars still standing today.
The difference between the old covenant is, Jesus has taken the place of the temple sacrifice. Jesus took the place of the blood of bulls, sheep, goats, and doves. Jesus came into this world from heaven to offer up himself for the forgiveness of sin, He only had to die once for all of man’s sins. His spilt blood was the single atonement for everybody that wishes to accept Christ as Savior, and ask God for forgiveness of sin. When there was temple sacrifices it was only a covering for sin. When Jesus returns all Israel will see Jesus for who He is, their Messiah.
The temple was never meant to be used as a market place for buying and selling of sacrifices. Jesus says it was to be a place of prayer. The people were supposed to bring their own sacrifice to the temple gate, to the Priests.

In the Exodus when God gave the plans for the Tabernacle, it was intended for Israel as a place they could come and learn from God, look to and come to offer what they had. God offered to talk to Israel directly, but after the congregation was frightened by God with the thunder and lightening and then God talking to them. Israel shrunk back and they told Moses that they would do whatever God tells them to do. After being in Egypt for 400 years, they had complained to Moses about God bringing them into the desert to kill them. Most of the people were dead set against God as leader, and Lord, captivity will do that to you. You are looking back at the time, and looking at what you do not have now. What God was offering them was a direct communication with Him alone, they could come, talk, learn, listen to His teaching and what and when He wanted to do something, there for man to look at and approach. The Tabernacle was not God’s home, but a dwelling place for God so man could have a place to go and to find out about God, to listen to Him, A place to get to know Him, where else could he go to find out. But Israel was not interested in following God. They saw the miracles that God was performing, but at every turn, they wanted to go back to what they knew, not what God was wanting them to wrap their hearts and minds around, freedom to worship Him, have their own land, be able to earn money for themselves. Freedom to govern themselves, they would be able to worship God for what He had done for them. God finally said enough, this generation shall not see the promise land. They will stay here, live and die in the wilderness. From the time Israel left Egypt until the Temple was built in Jerusalem, it was another 400 years. The tabernacle was set up and taken down when the priest said to move it.
1. God’s wisdom and His Holiness, and man’s folly not to recognize God by His miracles.
2. The voice of the Lord makes the deer to calve, and strips the forest bare, and in His temple everything says, “Glory!” 3. Hear, O peoples, all of you; listen, O earth and all it contains, and let the Lord God be witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple. For behold the Lord is coming forth from His place. He will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.  4. In the year of King Uzziahs death, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings, with two covered His face, two covered His feet, and with two He flew. And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory”. And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of Him who called out, while the temple was filling with the smoke. 5. The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

God’s purpose for man.

5. Why do you complain against Him, that He does not give a account of all His doings? In deed God speaks once, or twice, yet no one notices it. In a dream, a vision of the night, when sound sleep falls on men, while they slumber in their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that He may turn man side from his conduct. and keep a man from pride; He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from passing over into Sheol. 6. There is a appointed time for everything, and there is a time for every event under heaven. I said to myself, “God will judge both the righteous and the wicked man,” for every deed is there. I said to myself concerning the sons of men, “God has surely tested them in order for them to see that they are but beasts”. 7. For there is a proper time and procedure for every delight, when a man’s trouble is heavy upon him. 8. This is the plan devised against the whole earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out against all the nations. 9. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good for those who love God, to those called according to His purpose, for whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the first born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He glorified. 10. For though the twins were not yet born, and had not done anything good or bad, in order that God’s purpose according to His choice might stand, not because of works, but because of Him who calls. 11. For the scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this purpose I raised you up,to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.”

God rewards and helps those who love and trust Him and His work. The Temple is a place of learning, healing, and restoration.
1. Guard your steps as you go to the house of God, and draw near to listen rather than to offer sacrifice of fools, for they do not know they are doing evil. 2. A voice of uproar from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the Lord who is rendering recompense to His enemies. 3. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. (v13) The Lord also thundered in the heavens, the Most High uttered His voice, hail stones and coals of fire. 4. And He (Jesus)entered Jerusalem and came into the temple; and after looking all around, He departed for Bethany with the twelve, since it was already late. (The next day) And they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to cast out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves; and He would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple. 5. And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were crying out in the temple saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David, they became indignant, and said to Him, “Do you hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, “Yes, have you never read, out of the mouth of infants and nursing babes Thou hast prepared praise for thyself?” And when He had come into the temple , the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?” 6. But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach. The Jews therefore were marveling, saying, “How has this man become so learned, having never been educated?” Jesus therefore answered them and said, “My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me. If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the one who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” 7. But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not in this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, in order that since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, He took the blood of the calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, “this is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you.” And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood. And according to the law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but in heaven itself, now appear in the presence of God for us; nor was it that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year after year with blood not his own. Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once the consummation of all the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after that the judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins for many, shall appear second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. 8. Who appears and exalts himself above every so called god or object of worship that He takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 9. Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for the benefit, that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

God’s Purpose of Faith.

1. Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds. 2. So the land quakes and writhes, for the purposes of the Lord against Babylon stand, to make Babylon a desolation without inhabitants. 3. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exorted them all, that with purpose of the heart they would cleave unto the Lord. KJV 4. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will. 5. Paul said, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things; in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places, this is in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confidence access through faith in Him. 6. Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, but is now revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immorality to light through the gospel. 7. Paul said, “But you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me! 8. Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning, the Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
The religious leaders were not looking for Christ to come in and tell them what to do and how to do it. They did not want anybody usurping their authority. Christ had the authority. The religious leaders instead of looking at His miracles, of healing, restoration of lives, and looking into the OT and seeing what the Messiah was going to be like, Jesus was an encroachment into their authority and leadership. He was drawing all of the attention away from them and the religious leaders would not let that happen and diminish in any way their dominion in any way.

Can we say that the church in this day and age is like the temple for the Jewish people. It is a place of worship, giving, learning, prayer, instruction in righteousness. We take communion and celebrate the work of the cross and our forgiveness of our sins, though our faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s Holy Temple not made of mans hands coming down to believers in Christ.

1. Then say to him (Josiah) :thus says the Lord of hosts, behold, a man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the Temple of the Lord. 2. Daniel 5:3-6 Then the king Belshazzar, brought the gold vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God which was in Jerusalem; and the king and his nobles, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. They drank the wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone. Suddenly the fingers of a man’s hand emerged and began writing opposite the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing. Then the king’s face grew pale, and his thoughts alarmed him; and his hip joints went slack, and his knees began knocking together.
He died, they praised it because of Gold and silver god. The king of Babylon was using what God had made holy, this king thought they had little value but the gold content. They learned that even the unknowing people are to have respect for the holy things God has made for serving in His holy temple. The king knew where these utensils had come from, yet he had no respect for them. But God still had His eyes on what belonged to Him and used in His temple for His purpose
3. Men were bearing false witness. one said, “This man stated, I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.” (Christ was talking of His body as the temple) 4. And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His Spirit.” Just as Christ yielded His Spirit back to God, our Spirit goes back to God until the time of the second coming, when Christ returns in the air to gather all those that have believed in Jesus Christ. Then our Spirit, God will put back into our new body that cannot be corrupted or go into decay any more, because we have been changed in the twinkling of an eye. We shall be rewarded for our faith in Christ, and be with Him for all eternity. 5. We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands. Christ body became the Temple of God on earth. 6. And he (Simeon) came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the law, then he took Him into his arms, and blessed God , and said “Now Lord, thou dost let thy bond servant depart in peace, according to thy word; for my eyes have seen Thy salvation, which thou hast prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light of revelation to the gentiles, and the glory of Israel.” (Deity of Christ). 7. But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 8. Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “you both know Me and know where I am from, and I have not come of myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. I know Him; because I am from Him and He sent me. 9. And early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began to teach them. 10. I am He who bears witness of myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of me. And so they were saying to Him, where is your father? Jesus answered, you know neither Me, nor My Father: If you knew Me, you would know My Father also. These words He spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one sized Him, because His hour had not yet come. 12. Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. Whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: Therefore glorify God in your body. I Corinthians 6:19-22 Or do you not know that your body a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you. 13. Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean; and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you,and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty. II Corinthian 6:16 The Temple is just a building of stone. Jesus is the Temple of the Church. It is His whole body, mind, soul that He gave for man kind. It is this that makes believers different than any other person on earth. They have read or heard of Jesus and what He has down for them, and what He will do for them in the future in eternal life. It is the laying down of self. Just as Christ prayed to God, not my will, but your will be done.
People need to remember that, not my will, but God’s will. Give up always of trying to strive for more and more, but seek Christ humility, Jesus said He did not come to be served, but to serve. Were are we today, do we have the attitude of serving today. Serving or ourselves, serving ourselves does not count. Without saying anything to anybody, if you see somebody struggling with a load or a problem, go up and pick up part of that load to help, When you’re done, leave. Christ says do not blow your own horn. If you have a kind word for somebody, tell them, if someone has a great smile, tell them. Try greeting another person on the street with a smile and a nod of the head or a simple hello., do not seek recognition for a little help, you will be amazed and the thanks you will receive for the help. Authority, the temple rulers thought they had authority over everything, and here is an outsider, that was a man born of a woman, doing all these miracles, and they did not recognize God in the flesh because of their greed of control.

The next time Christ came to Jerusalem He cast out all those that were buying and selling in the temple. Christ would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple. Christ said that this is a house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a robbers den.

Life after death, Christ and God as light and temple

1. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens, but fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into the holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are being built together into the dwelling of God in the Spirit. 2. He who overcomes, I will make Him a pillar in the temple of My God, and He will not go out from it anymore; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. 3. And the temple of God which is in heaven opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. 4. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished. 5. And I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, go pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God into the earth. 6. And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying “it is done,” 7. And I saw no temple in it(the new city), for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. They are dwelling with there own chosen people that has accepted Christ as Savior, to live with and dwell with for all eternity.

The purpose of God is for man to see His holiness, love, His Spirit that He sent to us through Christ, and then Jesus Christ to pay for our sin on the cross, that on that day, the resurrection, He became the Temple of God and the mystery is, that Christ, for those who believe in Him, He lives in us, guides us, protects us, and through Jesus, we become holy, righteous and clean, because of Christ.
What God has purposed, it will never fail, but come to pass in His good time. Whatever He has said will not fail to happen. Whatever the ebb and flows of mans life are, His purpose never changes. Nations have come and gone over the millennial, His word is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. His purpose is the same as the beginning of time. Man, God wants man to come to Him to get to know God and man to learn from Him. It is man to recognize that only man is sinful, but God is holy and righteous, that is the difference between man and God.

How has Denominationalism helped the Lord Jesus Christ

Then the Lord said, Because they draw near with their words and honor Me with their lip service, but they remove their hearts far from Me, and their reverence for me consists of tradition learned by rote

How has Denominationalism helped the Lord Jesus Christ.       Article 17    April 31, 2017
What happens to Christianity when denominationalism is practiced on a large scale. The gospel is not given in the manner and tone that Christ gave it. The leadership of these denominations have a belief system that are separate and exclusive unto itself. They stake out a position and they have over the years refined it to a point that it sounds reasonable. Some of the rules and laws are directly opposed to the Bible. All of these denominations talk about Christ as being Savior, but when you start to dig into the meanings of what is published, it is lacking in content of what Christ taught and practiced. Man makes denominationalism, a front for man to make up its own laws and rules and view of God and beliefs for how they believe and how they see God and how their members should see Jesus, and what the people in the pew are supposed to think about Him. How have many of these denominations gotten a foot hold into the bible believing people? People have stopped reading their bible and therefore has looked at what the denomination say about God and Christ and say, that sounds good, I will believe that. Many of these denominations have said that if you believe in this denomination you are saved. Unfortunately people do not know their bible, because they do not read it, and then are led astray.
What are the basics that Christ taught. He was the Messiah that was taught and spoken about in the Old Testament. That John the Baptist would be His for runner. He was the Son of God, but also He was God that came down from heaven in the flesh (John 1-14). He came not to be served, but to serve. He came to save man from their sin. Jesus performed untold miracles to show the people that He was from God and that only God could do these miracles and forgive sin. It was Jesus’ will, to do the will of the Father. He said by faith in Him, confession of that sin, He would forgive them and they would have eternal life in Him. That the Father turned all authority and rule over to Him. Once people believed in Him nobody could be take them out of His hand. What was the sign that everything had been turned over to Jesus, He was obedient to the Father, and His betrayal by one of the disciple. The scourging, the crown of thorns, the mocking, and being nailed to the cross, His piled blood for you and me. But what sealed all of these signs, His resurrection from the dead. Another sign was His resurrection body, He could be seen in the body, then not seen at all. Then through the New Testament He tells His people how they should believe about Him, how they should act, what they should do, and in the end, how they will be taken up to Him in the end. That He would go and prepare a place for us, so we will be with Him for all eternity.
This is where Jesus ran into problems by the ruling class, the Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, etc. This is the problem today with denominations today. They have the same problem, miracles, calling Himself God, being man and spirit. Healing, that there is an eternity. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of My father who is in heaven. Mary will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” Lawlessness in this day and age could be denominations not acknowledging Jesus for who He is. These denominations are like the Scribes, Pharisees, and the ruling class of the Jews. Now some of these denominations are ruling over the church and leading the people astray.

Before I go any further, God was only too aware of what man could do when He took Israel out of the land of Egypt. God told the people He wanted them to be His people, He would watch out over them, guide them, protect them. They only had to take God at His Word. But what did they do the first chance they had, after a few days of Moses being gone, they had Aaron make a golden calf for them to worship and follow. God had a few simple rules, the 10 commandments. Instead they took those rules and turned them into rules and laws that God had never given them. They turned God into what they thought, they wanted God to be. God warned them over and over to follow Him only, and do His will, or He would send other nations to take them into captivity. God brought them out of Egypt in 1445 BC. The first captivity to Assyrians to the 10 Northern tribes of Israel happened in 859 B.C., when the tribe Judah became so corrupted God sent the Babylonians in 586/587 B.C.
This denomination has the following beliefs.
1.They do not believe in the Trinity. God is one single person. Jesus was created by God, and God created everything else.
Many people believe that a trinitarian verse does not exist. Does that necessarily make it true?because of the word trinity is not in front of the words, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The main focus should be God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit which Christ sent to all believers. God’s Word is true, complete, and is lacking nothing. God’s Word is the only Word that man needs. God does not need other translations of the bible. God’s will cannot be changed by another translation. The bible is the final Word on all matters, no matter what man prints about God, and Christ. Unfortunately, they do not believe God in Hebrews 9:27, “And inasmuch as it is appointed for man to die once, and then the judgment.” The judgment that Christ speaks about here is, are you a believer in Christ or not. If you are, your Spirit goes to be with the Lord.
1. You are my witnesses, declares the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen, In order that you may know and believe in Me, and understand that I am He. Before me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord; and there is no Savior besides Me. 2. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 3. Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. 4. And by common confession great is the mystery of godliness; He was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, beheld by Angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
1. Isaiah 43:10-11, 2. John 1:1-3, 3. John 14:6-7 4. 1 Timothy 3:16
2. This denomination says they believe in the Bible, but they have their own translation. In the Bible, as an example, how they turn God on His head. 1. They say, In the beginning was The Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. They have separated the Word from God and made His Word a god all unto it self. Make no mistake, God is His Word and, His Word is God. By doing this they can change His Word in any direction or have it say anything they want it to say. If you say you believe in God, His Word is truth, His Bible has no misspoken words, describes God’s love, glory, and His miracles are for all times and seasons. His presence in our lives, His will for our lives, He is the bread of life, He is the Alpha and Omega. Yes, He is the beginning and the end. If a denomination rewrites His Word, it leads many people astray, and the penalty will be on them and the people who are mislead are left with no savior at all. You cannot pick and choose what you want to believe or not believe, because if you don’t believe it all, THEN YOU ARE WORKING AGAINST THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THE FATHER. 2. For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. 3. Every Word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him, do not add to His words least He reprove you, and you be proved a liar. 4. But Jesus answered and said to them, You are mistaken, nor understanding the scriptures, or the power of God. 5. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. 6. And He said to them, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men. Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men. 7. I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; if any takes one away or adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. 8. Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do, you shall not add to nor take away from it.

3. This denomination says that Christ died on a stake, instead of a cross for the sins of mankind. Salvation is not through faith alone, but is earned by obedience to God’s commands.
After study of the stake or the cross, stake was the original term in the Bible. The cross did not come along till after the 3rd century. The main point being, His hands and feet were nailed into the wood on either one. The pierced hands and feet, along with the spear into His side is His proof of the crucifixion. That is what made the difference with Thomas.
1. For by grace are you saved through faith,; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. 2. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. 3. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son , that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 4. But what does it say? The word is near you in your mouth and in your heart-that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For scripture says, whoever believes in Him will not be dissappointed. 5. For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. 6. Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In my house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going. 7. Being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, that He might be just and justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

4. This organization does not believe in the existence of hell as a place of torment. They believe that man’s existence ends at death. They do acknowledge that God can remember the people on earth, and then be resurrected, but not because you believe in Christ, but all people are raised from the dead. All people will be resurrected at the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Christ. They also believe that Jesus’ body was not resurrected, but only His spirit.
1. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and cast them into the furnace of fire; in that place there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 2. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves being cast out. 3. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. 4. And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was departing, behold, two men standing in white clothing stood beside them, and they also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven. 5. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and His image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. 6. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. 7. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 8. But the cowardly and the unbelieving and the abominable and the murders and the immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death. Christ has a body and a Spirit. 9. And He said to them, Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts. See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; touch Me and see, for the spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have. 10. Because Thou wilt not abandon my soul to Hades, nor allow thy Holy One to undergo decay. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou wilt make me full of gladness with Thy Presence. 11. And behold, the veil of the Temple was torn from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split, and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many. 12. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies. 13. When she had said this, she turned around, and behold Jesus was standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking? Supposing Him to be the gardner, she said to Him, Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away. Jesus said to her, Mary! she turned and said to Him in Hebrew, Rabboni! Jesus said to her stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren, and say to them, I ascended to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God. Thomas, one of the 12 disciples, said that I will not believe until I put my finger into the nail holes in His hand and His pierced side, I will not believe. Later all the disciples were in the same room and Jesus called Thomas to come and see and feel His healed wounds. 14. Then He said to Thomas, reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand, and put it into my side; and not unbelieving, but believing. Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God. 15. Two men on way to Emmaus. And they were conversing with each other about all the things which had taken place. And it came about that while they were conversing and discussing, Jesus Himself approached, and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him. And He said to them, What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking? And they stood still, looking sad, 16. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead shall rise first.
Christ can come and go as He wishes. One minute He will be in the room wth the disciples, then gone. He will appear in body form and then disappear. Is God not able to manifest Himself anywhere any time He wants. If God holds all power, and if God has turned all power and authority over to Christ, does that not mean the Son can come and go as He please. According to the bible, they are one and the same.
1. Matthew 13:41-42, 2. Hebrews 4:12, 3. I Thessalonians 4:17, 4. Acts 9:11, 5. Revelation 14:11, 6.Revelation 19:20, 7. Revelation 20:13-14, 8. Revelation 21:8, 9. Luke 24:38-39, 10. Acts 2:27-28, 11.Matthew 27:51-53, 12. John 11:25, 13. John 20:14-17, 14. John 20:27-28, 15. Luke 13:14-19, 16.I Thessalonians, 4:16-17.
5. This denomination also believes the end times began in 1914, this period will end on judgement day. Judgement day begins with armegeddon, this denomination does not believe the bible means torment, but believes that judgment means hope and restoration. They believe that 144,000 of God are from this denomination only. The other part of this is, this denomination believes that the 144,000 will be the judges, along with God and Christ in the Kingdom of God. All other people will go to a place called Paradise. They must not be believe in the New Heaven and Earth.
But the bible says the 144,000 are from the 12 Tribes of Israel and there are 12,000 from each tribe. These 144,000 are sealed by Jesus for the purpose of evangelizing all the gentiles on the earth during the Great Tribulation. The rapture of the believers has taken place and the war between God and the nations will soon take place(Rev 7:1-8). Then, in chapter 14:1 we see Christ standing on Mt Zion and with Him are the 144,000 having Christ’s name and the name of His Father written on their forheads. And they sang a new song that nobody could learn, and these were the ones purchased, never having ever having been defiled by woman, and they follow the Lamb where ever He goes. No lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless. Standing before the throne of God was a great multitude of people who stood before the Throne of Christ and God. These were gentiles, that received Christ through the 144,000 Jews that brought them to Christ during the great tribulation(Rev 7:9-17). This is a far cry from what this denomination believes. After the resurrection of everybody, they will be kings along with God and Christ. This denomination say that only the 144,000 and Christ go into the Kingdom of God. When people die before the resurrection, they go to their place called Paradise. To them Paradise is the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve came into creation. No matter how long you have been dead or yet to die, this is the place you will go. Everybody goes there, believers in Christ, believers in satan, the lairs, immoral people, etc. To be a part of the 144,000, at sometime during ones life they must believe that they are a prophet, state to the denomination that you are a prophet and show them why and then they will validate you being a prophet. The 1914 date is arrived at by taking the date of the temple destruction by the Babylonians, and add 2520 years. They say the destruction of the temple of Jerusalem was in 607 BC, but the bible tells us that the temple was destroyed in 586 or 587 BC. They have missed the age of grace, the time that all peoples can come to Christ by faith. all these points they have missed Christ totally. Below you can read what happens after the age of grace.
Revelelation 20:1-15
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who was the devil and satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; After these things he must be released for a short time. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their for head and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who had a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. And when the thousand years are completed, satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plane of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; they will be tormented day and night for ever. And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great, and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged according to their deeds. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire, this is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Believe Jesus when He says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.”
This chapter is not a metaphor. Please take note, how exacting these words are, detailed to every letter what is going to happen and then the end.
Man is impatient with God because they think that God has given him some authority, wisdom and knowledge to improve upon what God has done. These self willed men will put themselves in God’s place and then build a new translation that rewrites what God is, and how lacking God is when it comes to the working of man. Their translation is not an improvement upon His Word and better reflects mans view on what God has said in His Word. Man can think they can refine it and make it easier to understand. In the process man changes the Word of God, and exalts man in his quest to be like God. If you have your own translation, man can say we do not like exactly like God’s way, our way is a better way.
This is what the what the bible really teaches. And over the years, they keep adding rules and regulation that do impact the relationship between man and God. They tell their converts that you have to do it this way because God has given us the authority to do this. In Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar said in his heart, because I have built this palace, I built this city, I have made it. He had a dream and Daniel told him. That God said this, Daniel 4:17 “This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchers, and the decision is a command of the holy ones, in order that the living may know, that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whom He wishes, and sets over it the lowliest of men.” This should be a reminder to man who thinks he can improve on God’s word and the timing of His events. It is Jesus who gave His blood for our salvation, It is Jesus that told man kind to come to me, have faith in me, I will heal you and give your soul rest. That healing may not be physical, but spiritually, peace in your soul, rest from people who do not like you. This is something no denomination cannot do. It is the personal attention that only Jesus can give. Man made translations have removed many jots and tittles from the bible. When people die, they do not die for a denomination or in a denomination. But at the end of life in Hebrews 9:27 it says, “And in as much as it is appointed for man to die once, and after this comes the judgment.” You have to believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. If you do not believe you are judged as a non believer, and your spirit goes to the appropriate place. This is what a denomination that has their own version of the bible, will not tell you. When we accept Him He places a new heart in us, one capable of confessing sin. We know that Christ is in us, and His way is the only way. It is JustJesusandYou. When you belong to Him you know you have a heart, healings, miracles in your life, and the love of God and His presence in your life. Don’t forget, several chapters a day in your bible today and start to learn and receive Him as your savior. Rely on Jesus

Reverence and Praise
Psalm 34:1-3 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall be continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, ad let us exalt His name together.

What is the theme of Matthew chapter 5-6-7.

Drawing a comparison of how one should live and using the religious leaders as an example of what not to do, and their folly pertaining to the laws of God and the love and compassion of God and how the religious leaders did not want God as a ruler over them. They were hostile to the things of God. They did not like the thought that Jesus was saying He is the Son of God. They knew what that meant. They knew that Jesus was making Himself equal to God, and they thought that was blasphemy. He was teaching the people by using the religious leaders as an example, while at the same time, calling all of them hypocrites, talking to the religious leaders and telling them what would happen to them if they continued governing in the manner they are now. Jesus said, you will receive the same judgement in the same way as you judge. Christ was always pointing out to the people how they swindled the people of Israel, how they cheated God by their self endowed positions of authority. They believed they had more authority than God Himself. In the way they (Religious leaders of Israel) responded they would not give one inch to God or Christ. That is the reason they wanted to kill Christ, because Jesus was turning the people away from them, and to Himself and God the Father. Christ was giving the people a clear direction for living their lives.

Matthew 7:1-29
By whose standard do you want to judged 7:1-6

Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck our of your eye, and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.  Here we have the continued teaching of Jesus to the same people that were in chapter 5 and 6. The five groups of people that attacked Jesus were the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, High Priests, Sanhedrin. Here Jesus picks up where He left off In Chapter 6. They would confront Christ time and again and would go away mad because they could not catch Christ in any lie or bad deed. Christ is addressing the religious leaders and the crowd. Christ is addressing religious leaders faults. And while they judge people, they will be judged in the same manner. Jesus is relating that a speck of dust is nothing, when you have log in your own eye, it can block your vision and be blinded by it. They did not look at their faults the same way Jesus did. So, there was conflict between them and Jesus. This is the base of all the problems. Even the many miracles Jesus performed, instead of saying, these miracles could not be done by ordinary man, so He must be God’s Son, they chose the route to deny any evidence that He could be the Son of God. The Pharisees were judging Christ by their own standard. Pigs and dogs were not liked in that culture. That is the reason you should not throw your pearls before swine. You should not cast what is holy to something that is unholy. If you put what is holy to you before unholy people, they will destroy what you think as holy, and then because of your faith kill you. Unholy men will always be on the losing end of an argument with God about, truth, righteousness and holiness.
Judging Matthew 7:1-6
1. Far be it from Me to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from Me! Shall not the judge of all the earth deal justly? 2. “So you shall come to the Leviticul priest, or judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them, and will declare to you the verdict in the case. And the man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel. 3. Yet you say, the way of the Lord is not right. O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways. 4. And I (God) said, Hear now, heads of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, is it not for you to know justice? You who hate good and love evil, who tear off their skin from them and their flesh from their bones, and who eat the flesh of the people, break their bones, and chop them up as for the pot and as meat in a kettle. Then they shall cry out to the Lord, but He will not answer them. Instead, He will hide His face from them at that time, because they have practiced evil deeds. V11. Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, her priests instruct for a price, and her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord saying, “Is not the Lord in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us,” 5. I (Jesus) can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgement is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent me. 6. “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement.” 7. “You people (Religious leaders) judge according to the flesh; I am not judging anyone, But even if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone in it, but I and He who sent Me.” 8. Because He fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” 9. “Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will come to him from God.” 10. For what have I (Paul) to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves. 11. To the general assembly and the church of the first-born who is enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect.”

1. The wicked spies upon the righteous, ans seeks to kill him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, or let the condemned when he is judged. 2. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is appraised by no man. 3. Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts. 4. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord in order that we may not be condemned along with the world. 5. But is all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an un-gifted man enters, he is judged by all, he is called to account by all; the secrets of his heart, are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you. 6. And the nations were enraged, and Thy wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to give their reward to thy bond-servants the prophets and the saints and to those who fear Thy name, the small and the great , and to destroy the earth. 7. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.
This is the last judgment of God. This is the Great White Throne Judgment, where all the people who have never believed in God go through. In this book of God’s, He will show each person what their deeds were and then their judgment is carried out. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. Any body’s name not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. This is the place that satan is also thrown, and there is weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Gnashing your teeth means a literal grinding of your teeth together, It can also mean when you bite down you are in pain, anguish or anger. Those people who do not have any faith will be in anger because the end has come and God is putting the world back under His control, and rewarding those who believe.

Ask, Given,/Seek, Find,/Knock, Opened   Matthew 7:7-11, Luke 6:24
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be given to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. Or what man is there among you, when his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he ask for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
1. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (Jesus), because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has set Me to proclaim release to the captive, and recovery of the sight to the blind, to set those who are down-trodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” 2. “Ask Me, and I will surely give the nations as thine inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as thy possession. 3. “Indeed ask now concerning the former days which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and inquire from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything been done like this great thing, or has anything been heard like it? 4. “Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” 5. “And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” 6. Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.” 7. “And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

8. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.” 9. But when they deliver you up, do not become anxious about how or what you will speak; for it shall be given you in that hour what you shall speak.” 10. And He answered and said to them, to you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been granted.” The them, are the five religious groups that are trying to keep the power and the right to control all of the religious life of the Jewish people. The religious leaders are trying to get the people to believe that Jesus is a fraud and will lie call names to hold onto that power that they think they have. But, what they don’t know is Christ will allow them through their selfish acts to bring to pass what He came to accomplish, His life, for the life of all man kind, if they want to believe. In 70 AD, the religious leaders lost, because the Romans invaded Jerusalem and burnt the temple and pulled it down. 11. “but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. And from everyone who has been much shall much be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. 12. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given to Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 13. For the words which thou gavest Me I have given to them; and they received them, and truly understood that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send Me. I ask on behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom thou hast given Me; for they are thine. 14. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. 15. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 16. For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgement, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. 17. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely give to us by God. 18. But the scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 19. For God has not given us a Spirit of timidity, but power ad love and discipline. 20. Seeing that His divine power has given to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has given to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search with all your heart and all your soul. 3. When thou didst say, Seek My face, my heart said to thee, thy face O Lord, I shall seek. 4. Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. 5. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with your whole heart. 6. If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 7. As it is written, There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God; all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one. 8. For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.

Knock and opened

People make a commitment to Jesus, but not from the heart, it is a mental exercise. It is not the same as a definite declaration of acceptance. Luke 13:25-27 “Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door, saying, Lord open up to us! Then He will answer and say to you, I do not know where you are from. Then you will begin to say, we ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets; and He will say, I tell you, I do not know where you are from; depart from Me all you evildoers.” There is a huge difference in eating and drinking and listening to someone in the streets, and then after the event is over, you disregard all the information, and you go on like it had no meaning for life. Then when one sees the end is coming quickly to a close, they want to be close to Jesus, because now Jesus is a benefit to them. They have gone through life without giving Christ a second thought. Revelation 3:15,16 Jesus says, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot, I would that you were cold or hot. So because you are luke warm, and neither hot or cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.”
1. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. 2. On that day your mouth will be opened to him who escaped, and you will speak and be dumb no longer, thus you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the Lord. There were 2 blind men following Jesus one day. 3. Then He touched their eyes, saying, “be it done to you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “see here, let no one know about this!” But they went out, and spread the news about Him in all the land. 4. After Christ’s resurrection, two of His companions were traveling to Emmaus. Jesus came up to them, and they did not know who He was. Then He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all of Scriptures. After traveling some distance, they turned into the village where they were going to stay the night. And it came about that when they had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the scriptures to us. 5. And Jesus stopped and called them and said, What do you want me to do for you? They said to Him, Lord we want our eyes to be opened. And Jesus , moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him. Stephan was witnessing in the Temple to the Jewish people. He was going through the Old Testament, God in creation and Moses, the Prophets, tabernacle in the desert, That you who are a stiff necked people, are resisting the Holy Spirit. Then they became incensed when Stephen said while looking up to heaven, And behold he said, 6 “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” They rushed him, threw him out of the temple and stoned him to death. 7. And from there(Attalia) they sailed to Antioch, from which they had been commanded to the grace of God for the work that they had accomplish. And when they had arrived and gathered the church together, they began to report all things that God had done with them and how He had opened a door of faith to the gentiles. 8. And a certain woman named Lydia from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. 9. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him whom we have to do. 10. And the Temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. 11. And I saw heaven opened; ad behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called faithful and true; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13. Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door , I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Your treatment of others Matthew 7:12

Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law, and the Prophets.
Two gates of Life Matthew 7:13-14, Luke 13:24
Many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and Murder, robbery, adultery, lying, stealing, being a false witness, unjust change, cheating, all of these are going on the broad road. Doing what is good in Christ, in your life, looking to do good to others.
False and True Teaching Matthew 7:15-20, Luke 6:43-45
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. (deeds) Grapes are not gathered from bushes, or figs from thistles, are they? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit,no can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into a fire. So then, you shall know them be their fruits.
Which way into Kingdom of God Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many shall say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.
You cannot practice any type of evil that takes away from God’s truth, Righteousness, and Holiness and expect to get into heaven.
Parable of the builders Matthew 7:24-27, Luke 6:47-49
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not ack upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst that house; and it fell, and great was its fall.
The multitudes were amazed at His teaching, for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

This ends the Sermon on the Mount, in Matthew chapter 5,6,7.

What is the teaching of Jesus on the issues of the day Article 16 2of 3 2-15-17

How would you praise Jesus today? What would you praise Him for? I praise Him today because He has given me a task that has stretched me in all directions. Since I am a human, I am not perfect in thought or deed. But, He has covered me by His shed blood from the cross. He has blessed me with some of His knowledge, He has given me His Spirit to bring things to remembrance and guidance, His wisdom helps me in discernment. Praise belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Savior of the world. When I first started walking with Him, He worked in me by saving me from myself. I had a worldly mind, and my actions showed it. Praise Jesus today. Write out your own praise to Him, and show Him how much you love Him. And if you do not believe, ask Him to show you that He exists and show you how real He is, that He is alive and well, ready to answer your prayers and questions as you read His Word, listen to messages and pray to give you wisdom in learning.

The issues of today are the same issues that came up yesterday, 100 years ago or 2000 years ago. We keep making the same mistakes over and over, until we are faced with life’s issue. Some of these issues are in the form of sin. It is when we learn that life is better with Christ
Theme of this chapter. Jesus wants the people to not focus on the external needs of life, but the internal needs of life. The internal will show you a complete view of your life and the one that Christ wants you to have. Be focused on today, and don’t worry about tomorrow. You cannot take care of tomorrow if today, your needs are not being met. Do what you can to get what you need, do what Christs asks, and your daily needs will be met. Men can only see the outside, Christ see’s the outside and the inside and takes care of them at the same time, without any drama.
Reliance on Christ. The religious leaders wanted the people to look at them, what they did, and be admired as something that would be looked upon in a very favorable light. God did not count for anything, so Christ points out their faults. They did not believe in God, but are faced with Christ who is telling the people that He came from the Father. The religious leaders had to do something to curb the critisism and the popularity of Christ. Christ was questioning their authority and the way they did things. Christ brought out into the open how they wanted to look good instead of giving the people the Word of God. The religious leaders message was about them and their authority. Christ’s message had to do with the people, how they could live, what the rewards could be if they would follow Christ. He added that there is a kingdom, by believing in that kingdom and Christs as Savior, they could be saved and all of life’s needs would be added for their belief. The religious leaders were about the past and the present. Christ’s message was about the present and the future. The way to live was by faith in Christ for their guidance. Key to this chapter, 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” There is nothing that we should be anxious for.
Matthew 6:1-34
                                                                        Almsgiving 6:1-4
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your father who is in heaven. When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you”.
Little history. There were five religious groups of people during Jesus’s time on earth that He battled with over and over. They were the Pharisee’s, Sadducee’s, Sanhedrin, High Priests and the Scribes. The Pharisees were the religious people over the temple. They had taken the Bible that was taught in the temple, and they were teaching the people in the public square and in the Homes. The Sadducees were the Priestly line. They were the liberals of Judaism. They did not believe in the afterlife or the resurrection. The Sanhedrin interpreted civil and religious law. This included rituals and how they were administered in the temple. The Sanhedrin was made up of the Pharisee’s, and Sadducee’s. There were 71 people that made up this body. The fourth group are the Scribes. In the Old Testament they had the duty of copying the bible letter by letter. They were so exacting that every letter and number had to be accounted for by the number of letters per line. If the count was off, they had to start over again. That is the reason our bible is so accurate today. In Jesus day, the Scribes were a special group of people from the religious leaders. They studied the law of Moses and were to solve the problems with the laws and the people. It was this group that confronted Jesus most of the time. Many times Jesus called the Pharisee’s and Scribe’s hypocrites. The fifth group, the High Priests. They were over all of the Temple sacrifices, they were over all of the subordinate priests, He was the only one after a sacrifice that could go into the Holy of Holies. The Priest were also over all of the temple rituals. He determined what and how things were done in the Temple. There were local synagogues in every city, or if the town was large enough, it may have two. The Temple only existed in Jerusalem.
Luke 20:46-47 “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love respectful greetings in the market place, and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at banquets, who devour widow’s houses, and for appearance sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation.” Matthew 23:25-29 “You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a Camel! Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence. You blind Pharisees, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also. Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy as lawlessness.”
One of the Pharisee ask Jesus to have lunch with him. Jesus went in and reclined at the table, and when the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that He had not ceremonially washed before the meal. But Jesus said to him, Luke 11:39-44 “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the platter; but inside of you, you are full of robbery and wickedness. You foolish ones, did not He who made the outside make the inside also? But give that which is within as charity, and all things will be clean for you. But woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithe and mint and rue and very kind of garden herb, and yet disregard justice and the love of God; but those are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. Woe to you Pharisees! for you love the front seats in the synagogues, and the respectful greetings in the market place. Woe to you! For you are like concealed tombs, and the people who walk over them are unaware of it.”

Lords Prayer 6:5-15
And when you pray, you are not to be as hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, in order to be seen by men. Truly I will say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you. And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition, as the gentiles do, for they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need, before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way;
The Lords prayer of Matthew
“Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.] The sentence in parenthesis has been added.
The Lords Prayer of Luke 11:2-4
And He said to them, “When you pray say;” “Father, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not in temptation.”
This is a way to focus when we prayer, but does not limit our prayers on other issues that effect us or friends and family.  I think the point that Jesus is trying to make is, nobody can steal what they can’t see what you have. Your personal time with the Lord is in secret and personal.

What is the kingdom of God, and what do we have to do to get in.

God’s kingdom is by invitation only. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Also it is a place of rewards. In God’s love for the one who accepts Him, they want to live up to the expectations of their Christ and King. Jesus wants us to to help in His kingdom message, give water to their enemies, food and clothing to the poor, love your neighbor as thyself. Christ wants His people to do good, be gracious, forgiving. speaking what is true and right. In addition to Him who watches over us, He has additional rewards when we get into His Kingdom.
This made me think of a song from years ago. It is called Onward, Christian Soldiers.
1. Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus, going on before! Christ, the Royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle See His banner go! 2. At the sign of triumph satan’s host doth flee; on, then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthem raise! 3. Like a mighty army, moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod; we are not divided; all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in charity. 4. Onward, then, ye people, join our happy throng, blend with ours your voices in triumph song; glory, laud, and honor, unto Christ the King; One in hope and doctrine, in charity. end What do soldiers do, they fall into rank, they go giving the word, they may fall in death because of their message, but another falls out to take ones place. Sometimes we go through part of our life like a ship without a rudder. Our rudder is supposed to be Christ. We are to look at Him, for direction, correction, and what He wants us to do when we get there. Christians keep going century after century until the King returns. When we put on our robes of white, we have no more pain, no more death, just victory in Jesus Christ.
Psalm 145:11-21 They speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; to make known to the sons of men Thy mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of thy kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, thy dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord sustains all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down,The eyes of all look to Thee, and Thou dost give them their food in due time. Thou dost open thy hand, and dost satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His deeds. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear the cry and will save them. The Lord keeps all those who love Him; but all the wicked, He will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord; and all flesh will bless His Holy name forever and ever. Luke 17:20-21 Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God is not coming with the signs to be observed; nor will they say, look here it is, or there it is!. For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst. We who believe Jesus Christ, His kingdom is in us. Since Christ is unseen, people cannot see His kingdom in us. It is just like His Spirit, it cannot be seen either, when we believe in the Spirit, He is in Us. 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist of words, but in power. Hebrews 1:8 But of the Sons He says, THY THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.
For those who make it into the kingdom of Heaven there are 5 Crowns for believers to receive.
{Crown of life. James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. {Revelation 2:10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Crown of rejoicing. {I Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming.{Crown of Righteousness. 2 Timothy 4:8, 7 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love His appearing. Why do we get this, we have fought the good fight, I have finished my course and I have kept the faith. {Crown of Glory. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading Crown of glory. {Crown imperishable. I Corinthians 9:25 And everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. Then they receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.” Wreath also translated crown.
For if you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions
The last part of the Lord prayer I want to cover is God’s Will.
1.”We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing, and does His will, He hears him. 2. “And do not be conformed to this life, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” 3. “Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.” 4. “Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as wise men, bur wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” 5. “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 6 “Now, the God of peace, who brought up from the dead and the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord.”
1. John 9:31 2. Romans 12:2 3.Galatians 1:4 4. Ephesians 5″15-17 5. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 6. Hebrews 13:20-21
The following are small sentences of various verses in the 4th Chapter of James. What are your source of quarrels and conflicts? You lust and do not have, so you commit murder, you are envious, you fight a quarrel, you have not because you ask not, if you do ask, you ask with the wrong motives. Do you think that scripture speaks to no purpose? God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit therefore to God. Draw near to God and He will draw close to you. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. Let God decide where to go and how long you will be there. Instead you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we will do this or that. Do not boast or be arrogant. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, if you know what the right thing is, and you do not do it, it is sin to you.
1 Peter 2:13-15 “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or as governors as sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.” 1Peter 4:1-2 “Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased to sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

                                                                    Fasting Matthew 6:16-18
“And whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance in order to be seen fasting by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face so that you may not be seen fasting by men, but your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you,”
Be happy that you want to fast, not all people want to depend on the Lord to help them through the day to complete the fast. It is relying again on Him to help you to accomplish something for Him and you.
What and Where are Your Treasures, Are they monetary? Matthew 6:19-34
“Do not lay up for yourself treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also, The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in the darkness, how great is the darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on.
How would you answer these questions?
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them, are you not worth much more than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one single cubit to his life span? And why are you anxious about clothing?
“Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. But if God arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into a furnace, will He not much more so for you, O men of little faith? Do not be anxious then, saying, what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? Or with what shall we cloth ourselves? For all these things the gentiles eagerly seek; for your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things, but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Living life in the shadow of God’s love. The expectations of God and His believer of how you mesh into the life around you. You are to be salt and light to the people around you. You have gifts that other people do not have to reach people around you.
