How do we anchor ourselves to the Savior of our souls Article 19

Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters the veil.

Reverence:  Psalm 28:6-7 Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplication. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.

Being alone with Christ. If one has not spent a lot of solitude time with Christ in your hard times, and more often than not, if a person does not grow close to Christ in prayer, reading, and thinking upon God’s directions to improve your life, when times get good again, one will move away and not continue on the personal journey, and you begin to drift from the close walk with the Lord. Be able to draw on His grace and mercy and be committed to do what you need to do in good times. The relationship you start with Christ at the very beginning, is how you will be with Christ the rest of your life. It is Christ alone, it is He who will spend as much time as we need to learn and be the type of person He wants us to be. Just Jesus and you alone, quietly talking together, working out any problems that you have, for you are in the presence of God, who has all wisdom, grace and mercy. Every answer you will ever need is found in your relationship with Him.
1. But He would slip away to the wilderness and pray.  2. And it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.  3. Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your father who is in heaven. When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men, truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.  4. And after He had sent the multitudes away, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.  5. And in the early morning, while it was still dark, He arose and went out and departed to a lonely place, and was praying there.  6. And when you pray, you are not to be as the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, in order to be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to the Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

1. Draw nye unto me and I will draw nye unto you.  2. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; be zealous therefore, repent. Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.  3. Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.  4. Then Jesus said to His disciples, if anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life, shall lose his life;  5. If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My name sake shall find it. For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For what will a man profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul.  What does my cross look like? Only Jesus knows the answer to that.  6. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it.

Anchor, as a verb, is an action word, to hold in place, not left to drift.

Hebrews 6:19 is the only place that anchor is used. It has a singular purpose. Christ our anchor, the anchor was the symbol of the early church for a very long time. An anchor does weigh any where from 20 lbs to thousands of pounds to hold a ship. An anchor does not change shape over time, even rusted it looks the same. The purpose has not changed. The anchor has not changed.  1. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. An anchor saves a ship from moving from its moorage place. Christ grounds us by faith in Him because He will never change his mind or changes the rules that govern the life of a believer. Christ became the anchor because He cannot be moved by excuses, or sin,  2. I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for my name sake; and I will remember their sins no more. Christ is perfect and sinless. Man has the responsibility to conform to Christ and His word, not Christ conforming to what we want Him to do for us, because man changes his mind daily on many subjects.  3. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more. He has called us to faith,  4. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, be craftiness in deceitful scheming.

1. If you would direct your heart right, and spread out your hand to Him; if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents. Then, indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, and you would be steadfast and not fear. 2. And not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that did not prepare its heart, and whose spirit was not faithful to God. 3. Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a away that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all the things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable Therefore, I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified 4. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 5. Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of the faith, who for joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, for consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart. 6. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end. 7. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert, your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith; knowing the the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. 8. Because you have kept the word of my perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell upon the earth. I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one takes your crown.

1.Is not your fear of God your confidence, and the integrity of your ways your hope?  2. But He who saves from the sword of their mouth, and the poor from the hand of the mighty. So the helpless have hope, and unrighteousness must shut its mouth.  3. So are the paths of all who forget God, and the hope of the godless will perish. So are the paths of all who forget God, and the hope of the godless will perish.  4. Then you would trust, because there is hope, and you look around and rest securely.  5. Then indeed, you could lift up your face without moral defect, and you would be steadfast and not fear. For you would forget your trouble, as waters that have passed by, you would remember it. And your life would be brighter than noon day; darkness would be like the morning.  6. For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God requires his life.  7. Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord.  8. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His loving kindness, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. For our heart rejoices in Him, because we trust in His name. Let thy loving kindness, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in thee.  9. For I hope in thee, O Lord; thou wilt answer , O Lord my God.  10. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance, and my God.  11. But as for me, I will hope continually, and I will praise thee yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of thy righteousness, and of thy salvation all the day long; for I do not know the sum of them.  12. Sustain me according to Thy word, that I may live; and do not let me be ashamed of my hope.  13. I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in the word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.  14. How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God; who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; who keeps faith forever. 15. The hope of the righteous is gladness, but expectations of the wicked perishes.  16. Hope deferred make the heart sick, but the desire fulfilled is a tree of life.  17. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord.  18. Having a hope in God, which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.  19. Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.  20. For the creation was subjected to futility, of if its own will, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one also hope for what he sees? But we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.  21. Rejoicing in Hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.  22. For whatever was written in earlier times, was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and the encouragement of scriptures we might have hope. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  23. For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.  24. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.  25. Remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.  26. According to my earnest expectation and hope, that I shall not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ shall even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or death.  27. Because of the hope laid up for you in heaven, of which you previously heard in the word of truth, the gospel. If indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I Paul, was made a minister. To whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of the mystery among the gentiles, which is, Christ in you , the hope of glory.  28. For who is our hope or joy or crown of exhultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?  29. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.  30. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace.  31. Instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.  32. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end. I order that the two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope set before us. 33.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy, has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Therefore grid your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 34. But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.  35. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be, We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

It will come at a time when one understands the truth of His Word and works. Read and it is true. From hope to assurance. immersed in His word. Hope should only be for a little while. Until you know that no one can remove you from Christ to where we will ascend to Christ and meet Him in the air. There is not a definite time when one comes to that understanding. But the more time you spend with Him in the Word, prayer, doing the works that He wants us to do, then you will know that your knowledge and love for Christ, is not hope, but a reality that you really do belong to Him, and He looks at you as a son or daughter in Christ Jesus. “And for this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received from us the word of God’s message, you accepted it ot as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.” I Thessalonians 2:13

1. But I will raise up for myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and in my soul; and I will build him an enduring house, and He will walk before My anointed always.  2. Please forgive the transgression of your maidservant; for the Lord will certainly make for my lord an enduring house because my lord is fighting the battles of the LORD, and evil shall not be found in you all your days.  3. The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.  4. Thy testimonies are fully confirmed; Holiness benefits thy house, O LORD, forevermore.  5. The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are sure. 6. Therefore thus says the Lord God, behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation firmly placed, he who believes in it will not be disturbed.  7. Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet, we wipe off in protest against you, yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.  8. And we have believed and have come to know that you are the Holy One of God.  9. Now we know that you know all things, and have no need for anyone to question you; by this we believe that you came from God.  10. Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, the Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness. Therefore, if a man cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the master, prepared for every good work.

He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters stand up like a heap, then He led them with the cloud by day,and all the night with a light of fire, He split the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them abundant drink like the ocean depths. He brought forth streams also from the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.  3. But they deceived Him with their mouth, and lied to Him with their tongue, for their heart was not steadfast toward Him, nor were they faithful in His covenant. To separate the Holy from the unholy. The original Tabernacle and the temple had the veil between the tent of meeting (common place for the people) and the Holy of Holies (where God dwelt). The veil was the separation of God and sinful man. When Christ was crucified, it was at His death, that the veil was torn from top to bottom, to signify that because of the sinless Christ was the sacrifice for all sinners, once for all time. Christ became to be the go between the Holy God and sinful man. Christ took the the veil away, Christ did what the sacrifice of bulls, lambs and rams could not do, the sacrifice of the animal was the covering for sin, Christ was the sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin when the sin is asked for forgiveness, it is granted, unconditionally. Because Jesus paid the price, the veil was no longer needed, a person no longer has to go to a priest or prophet to find out what God wants you to do. God put everything into Jesus’s hands for the salvation and forgiveness of sin. Of all peoples and nations. Jesus is the final and only judge that has been given to man to given the opportunity for eternal life by faith in Jesus Christ.
1. And behold , the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split.  2. And behind the second veil , there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold in which was a golden jar holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod which budded, and the tables of the covenant. And above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail.  3. Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh and spilt blood, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water, let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds.

What is your life like? Are you going from day to day with no meaning in life? Do You get up and go through the day with only some interaction from other people in your life? Is your day full of mundane duties. Everything about the day is about what you need to get done? I, I, I, or me, me, me. This is where faith in Jesus Christ could change your life. Christ wants to fill you with His Spirit through faith in Him. He wants to give your life purpose. When your life has purpose, others will benefit from that purpose. He wants you to move beyond self, but you have to start looking how you can help others during the course of your day. It may be as little as giving somebody a smile, it will be always welcoming, a word of encouragement, open the door for another person who may have have their hands full. The other thing you can do is go visit some elderly person in a retirement center. There are many people there that have no family, or they never come to see them. You could not only be a friend to them, but they could become of friend to you as well. these are only suggestions, make a small list of what might interest you. What you will find is, it takes little time to help another person. Let Christ come alive in your life, and lead you in His way, you will be happy, and others around you will be happy too.

Article 18 October 11-17 Rough wood and Sandpaper

Reverence Jude 24,25 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
I was sitting in church one Sunday and Jesus asked me this question? how are people like a rough piece of wood. I work with wood so I knew that rough unfinished wood needs sand paper to get it smoothed out. there are many different grits of sand paper, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 180, 200, 220. The lower the number, more course the paper. Somebody that has had a very hard, and difficult life needs to be smoothed a little more than somebody that heard the message of Jesus and responded to His call. The more difficult life, will need Christ to work with them more to rid themselves of sins of their life. What is that grit that we can receive to help remove the rough edges, and have it change our lives? God’s Word is the sandpaper. The more you read and learn, the more you put His Word into practice in your life to remove the rough edges, the more you read and put into action God’s Word in your life the smoother one becomes. Also it teaches us self control. The lack of Self control means that you do not know how to discipline yourself. You have not been able to say no to yourself to keep yourself from going places or doing things that do not show that one can control their actions and not mastered self discipline yet. The sanding only can begin when one accepts Christ. That if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10

New believers, or believers who have lived life as an unbeliever, are like rough wood, their lives have been course and rough. One’s life does not get their attention until a shock wave comes in the form of some sort of personal repercussions because of ones long standing words and actions that someone gets tired and says that is enough, I’m out of here, a death, sickness. And in that moment, you are dumb founded and say, what is going on. Then reality has set in and you realize that you have said and done some real terrible and dumb things and it has come to an end The Lord wanted to get your attention and He has any number of ways in doing that. Your eyes have been opened, and there is no going back. This is where sandpaper comes in. Your deeds and actions are like very rough wood. Rough people need rough sand paper. For those who have a disease you can have the same kind of bewilderment of why me? Some people get angry, or fall into God’s loving arms to get help in dealing with the disease.

How is sandpaper made? The surface is made of coarse pulverized granules glued or bonded to the sanding surface on the disc. The fine grit is for finished sanding, which is very smooth paper to the touch. One might look at the different courses of sand paper as our new lives in Christ. New believers or one rededicating their lives, start out coming out of the world, lying, cheating, swearing, drinking, drugs, sexually active, maybe they have been incarcerated for murder, theft, or other crimes. The Lord knows how much our lives need refining and what we need most at this time. Many times what we have created in our lives bring great pain later. That is what sin does, brings much pain into ones life.

People believing or unbelieving all start at the same place with Christ, all are babes or beginners in Christ. Sometimes we have had a checkered past because of the lack of knowing about Christ and the commandments. These are His basic rules. You will have no other Gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven, and you shall not worship them. You shall not take the Lord’s name in vain. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against you neighbor. You shall not covet his wife, or any of his servants, or any of his livestock, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. Jesus says that if you have committed any of these, you have committed them all. No body is without sin. No matter of our sin, we must realize we are all sinners to a Holy God, we are still sinners, that is the point, Jesus is the only one that can take my sin away. His blood paid my penalty, and your penalty, by going through the scourging, before they took Him to the cross, once there, they nailed His hands and feet to the cross to keep Him there, He bled, and died for our sin, that was the payment for the forgiveness of sin. Then He rose from the dead, back to life, Christ is the only first fruits. The Lord Jesus wants us to be able to have self control in every part of our lives. We are not supposed to react to everything that somebody else does or says to us.

1. No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you may be able to endure it. 2. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (Sound judgment) 3. But no one can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father; and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My bretheran, these things ought not be this way. 4. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who captures a city. 5. Not returning evil for evil, or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For let him who love life and see good days refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from peaking guile. And let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears attend to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 6. Depart from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it, for the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 7. This you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. 8. Do not go out hastily to argue your case; otherwise, what will you do in the end, when your neighbor puts you to shame? Argue your case with your neighbor, and do not reveal the secret of another. 9. I urge you therefore, bretheren by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to God , which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. 10. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, what ever is right, whatever is pure, whatever lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of all peace shall be with you. 11. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert, your adversary the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 12. Submit therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify hearts, you double minded. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. 13. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The more our lives are in Christ, our abrasive deeds and personalities start disappearing from our lives. The person starts knocking off the rough edges of ones life. As that person matures, 100, 200 grit paper is used. The word of God is that refining miracle that takes place. This person is learning how to control the temper, stop drinking, stop swearing, and instead of these things in life, they are gone, they have been going to church, reading their bible, and maybe have gotten into a bible study to learn more quickly. Now they do not need any more sandpaper to smooth off the rough edges. What still needs to be done is to be on guard that any part of the old life style does not creep back into ones life ever again. Only Jesus knows which course of sand paper you need.
The more you read the quicker you understand and learn. There will be people who do not accept change in their life even a little bit, they stop reading, and think that where I am is just fine, they will never really get to the end of needing more sand paper to get them out off a bad cycle. Man will always need God’s word, because just as you get one challenge ended that our adversary the devil will bring something more into ones life to throw you off a little again. That is why you need the whole counsel of God. You will not need or think about sand paper again. Because the Holy Spirit that is inside you, He is helping you keep those rough edges from effecting you the way they did before you started your walk with Christ. All of this comes down to our behavior, it is in our control, but will we control it or let it control us.

One Sunday we had the pastor of the Brooklyn Tabernacle church in Brooklyn, New York. He knew a man that had turned to drugs, leaving two children and his wife to live on the streets. One Sunday evening, in the service the whole church was praying for this man. Much to every body’s surprise, he walked through the door and gave his life to Christ. The pastor went up to give him a hug, and as he gave him a hug God spoke to him and said, Do not feel sorry for this man and think lesser of him because he smells. This smell I love, because a man has come out of the world, and into my kingdom to learn from me and live with me forever. Jesus is His name, and only He can change our lives, because man cannot change anything without God to Help him.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Works of the flesh

Galatians 5:19-21Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, ad things like these, of which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

Why is the Temple so important to God and what is its functions?

Daniel 2:20-23 Daniel answered and said, “Let the name of God be blessed for ever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to Him. And it is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men, and knowledge to men of understanding, It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him. To Thee, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for thou hast given me wisdom and power; even now Thou hast made known to me what we requested of thee, for Thou hast made known to us the king’s matter.”

Why is the Temple so important to God and what are its functions?

Is there any difference in the tabernacle and the Temple of God. who is it meant for, God or man? Many of us will never get the opportunity to see the earthly temple because of geographical location. The temple we as believers will see is the Temple made without hands where God and Christ are the temple, and its light is God. Actually the Tabernacle was the beginning of saving Israel and introducing Israel to God and His expectations. The Tabernacle was the way to get people to think about God, by always having His presence with Israel.
A little history. God had not spoken to any man of the captivity in Egypt for 400 years, from the time of the death Joseph who held a High possession in Pharaohs court. The the Bible says that a new leader came along that knew not Joseph. And that is where Israel became slave labors. God spoke to Moses, to go to the leaders of Israel in Egypt and tell them God is here to bring you out of the captivity, to take you to a place flowing with milk and honey, you will be His people and He will be your God. A good land that you can work for yourselves and be prosperous. God led them out of Egypt with great miracles and signs, but they chose to complain at every juncture saying, we will be killed by the Egyptians, we have no water, we have no meat, God, you have brought us out of Egypt to kill us in the desert. Should all the signs and wonders be enough for the people to see who was leading them? Then God made it easy for them, giving them two rules to live by. 1. Obedience and I will bless you. 2. Disobedience and I will curse you. Because of their disobedience God told them they were going to wander for forty years until the disobedient people were dead. Now we come to the building of the tabernacle. God says the Tabernacle was a place to bring tithes and offerings as your heart leads you. Come into My house to pray to me, the Priests will sacrifice your animals for the covering of your sin. God wanted to speak to them, for them to listen to Him. They said no thank you. God knew that captivity had brought a hardness of heart. They were skeptical of following the leaders and God Himself. They had no reference point of contact or thought about God. Then, Moses shows up in their camp and says that God has heard their cry. God is a stranger to them. Skeptical people do not like to be tested or follow blindly, but God wanted just that. Even today, He wants us to trust Him, why? Because He is God and Jesus Christ, they know all things and control all things. We can trust Him, we cannot see His moves or His actions, but He wants us to trust and obey just as He did with the Israelite’s.
Hebrews 9:1-10 Now even the first covenant had regulations of divine worship and the earthly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle prepared, the outer one, in which were the lamp stand and the table and the sacred bread; this is called the holy place, and behind the second veil, there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, and Aaron’s rod which budded, and the tables of the covenant. And above it were the Cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail. Now when these things have been thus prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle, performing the divine worship, but into the second only the high priest enters, once a year, not without taking blood, which offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance. The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed, while the outer tabernacle is still standing, which by symbol for the present time, accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, since they relate only to food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.
Israel is awaiting for a new Temple to be built, so they can once again offer sacrifices as they did when the Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. Since they do not recognize Christ as Messiah, they are waiting to start the sacrificial system once again. The one thing that is stopping this from happening is the Muslim Dome of the Rock, taking the temple mount location. The whole temple mount area is in control of the Muslims. There are temple pillars still standing today.
The difference between the old covenant is, Jesus has taken the place of the temple sacrifice. Jesus took the place of the blood of bulls, sheep, goats, and doves. Jesus came into this world from heaven to offer up himself for the forgiveness of sin, He only had to die once for all of man’s sins. His spilt blood was the single atonement for everybody that wishes to accept Christ as Savior, and ask God for forgiveness of sin. When there was temple sacrifices it was only a covering for sin. When Jesus returns all Israel will see Jesus for who He is, their Messiah.
The temple was never meant to be used as a market place for buying and selling of sacrifices. Jesus says it was to be a place of prayer. The people were supposed to bring their own sacrifice to the temple gate, to the Priests.

In the Exodus when God gave the plans for the Tabernacle, it was intended for Israel as a place they could come and learn from God, look to and come to offer what they had. God offered to talk to Israel directly, but after the congregation was frightened by God with the thunder and lightening and then God talking to them. Israel shrunk back and they told Moses that they would do whatever God tells them to do. After being in Egypt for 400 years, they had complained to Moses about God bringing them into the desert to kill them. Most of the people were dead set against God as leader, and Lord, captivity will do that to you. You are looking back at the time, and looking at what you do not have now. What God was offering them was a direct communication with Him alone, they could come, talk, learn, listen to His teaching and what and when He wanted to do something, there for man to look at and approach. The Tabernacle was not God’s home, but a dwelling place for God so man could have a place to go and to find out about God, to listen to Him, A place to get to know Him, where else could he go to find out. But Israel was not interested in following God. They saw the miracles that God was performing, but at every turn, they wanted to go back to what they knew, not what God was wanting them to wrap their hearts and minds around, freedom to worship Him, have their own land, be able to earn money for themselves. Freedom to govern themselves, they would be able to worship God for what He had done for them. God finally said enough, this generation shall not see the promise land. They will stay here, live and die in the wilderness. From the time Israel left Egypt until the Temple was built in Jerusalem, it was another 400 years. The tabernacle was set up and taken down when the priest said to move it.
1. God’s wisdom and His Holiness, and man’s folly not to recognize God by His miracles.
2. The voice of the Lord makes the deer to calve, and strips the forest bare, and in His temple everything says, “Glory!” 3. Hear, O peoples, all of you; listen, O earth and all it contains, and let the Lord God be witness against you, the Lord from His holy temple. For behold the Lord is coming forth from His place. He will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.  4. In the year of King Uzziahs death, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings, with two covered His face, two covered His feet, and with two He flew. And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory”. And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of Him who called out, while the temple was filling with the smoke. 5. The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men. The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

God’s purpose for man.

5. Why do you complain against Him, that He does not give a account of all His doings? In deed God speaks once, or twice, yet no one notices it. In a dream, a vision of the night, when sound sleep falls on men, while they slumber in their beds, then He opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that He may turn man side from his conduct. and keep a man from pride; He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from passing over into Sheol. 6. There is a appointed time for everything, and there is a time for every event under heaven. I said to myself, “God will judge both the righteous and the wicked man,” for every deed is there. I said to myself concerning the sons of men, “God has surely tested them in order for them to see that they are but beasts”. 7. For there is a proper time and procedure for every delight, when a man’s trouble is heavy upon him. 8. This is the plan devised against the whole earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out against all the nations. 9. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good for those who love God, to those called according to His purpose, for whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the first born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He glorified. 10. For though the twins were not yet born, and had not done anything good or bad, in order that God’s purpose according to His choice might stand, not because of works, but because of Him who calls. 11. For the scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this purpose I raised you up,to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth.”

God rewards and helps those who love and trust Him and His work. The Temple is a place of learning, healing, and restoration.
1. Guard your steps as you go to the house of God, and draw near to listen rather than to offer sacrifice of fools, for they do not know they are doing evil. 2. A voice of uproar from the city, a voice from the temple, the voice of the Lord who is rendering recompense to His enemies. 3. In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. (v13) The Lord also thundered in the heavens, the Most High uttered His voice, hail stones and coals of fire. 4. And He (Jesus)entered Jerusalem and came into the temple; and after looking all around, He departed for Bethany with the twelve, since it was already late. (The next day) And they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to cast out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves; and He would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple. 5. And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that He had done, and the children who were crying out in the temple saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David, they became indignant, and said to Him, “Do you hear what these are saying? And Jesus said to them, “Yes, have you never read, out of the mouth of infants and nursing babes Thou hast prepared praise for thyself?” And when He had come into the temple , the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching, and said, “By what authority are You doing these things, and who gave You this authority?” 6. But when it was now the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and began to teach. The Jews therefore were marveling, saying, “How has this man become so learned, having never been educated?” Jesus therefore answered them and said, “My teaching is not mine, but His who sent me. If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the one who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.” 7. But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not in this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, in order that since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. For where a covenant is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it. For a covenant is valid only when men are dead, for it is never in force while the one who made it lives. Therefore even the first covenant was not inaugurated without blood. For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, He took the blood of the calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, “this is the blood of the covenant which God commanded you.” And in the same way he sprinkled both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry with the blood. And according to the law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but in heaven itself, now appear in the presence of God for us; nor was it that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year after year with blood not his own. Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once the consummation of all the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after that the judgment, so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins for many, shall appear second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him. 8. Who appears and exalts himself above every so called god or object of worship that He takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 9. Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for the benefit, that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

God’s Purpose of Faith.

1. Perhaps they will listen and everyone will turn from his evil way, that I may repent of the calamity which I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds. 2. So the land quakes and writhes, for the purposes of the Lord against Babylon stand, to make Babylon a desolation without inhabitants. 3. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exorted them all, that with purpose of the heart they would cleave unto the Lord. KJV 4. In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will. 5. Paul said, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things; in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places, this is in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confidence access through faith in Him. 6. Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, but is now revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death, and brought life and immorality to light through the gospel. 7. Paul said, “But you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me! 8. Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning, the Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
The religious leaders were not looking for Christ to come in and tell them what to do and how to do it. They did not want anybody usurping their authority. Christ had the authority. The religious leaders instead of looking at His miracles, of healing, restoration of lives, and looking into the OT and seeing what the Messiah was going to be like, Jesus was an encroachment into their authority and leadership. He was drawing all of the attention away from them and the religious leaders would not let that happen and diminish in any way their dominion in any way.

Can we say that the church in this day and age is like the temple for the Jewish people. It is a place of worship, giving, learning, prayer, instruction in righteousness. We take communion and celebrate the work of the cross and our forgiveness of our sins, though our faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s Holy Temple not made of mans hands coming down to believers in Christ.

1. Then say to him (Josiah) :thus says the Lord of hosts, behold, a man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the Temple of the Lord. 2. Daniel 5:3-6 Then the king Belshazzar, brought the gold vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God which was in Jerusalem; and the king and his nobles, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. They drank the wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone. Suddenly the fingers of a man’s hand emerged and began writing opposite the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing. Then the king’s face grew pale, and his thoughts alarmed him; and his hip joints went slack, and his knees began knocking together.
He died, they praised it because of Gold and silver god. The king of Babylon was using what God had made holy, this king thought they had little value but the gold content. They learned that even the unknowing people are to have respect for the holy things God has made for serving in His holy temple. The king knew where these utensils had come from, yet he had no respect for them. But God still had His eyes on what belonged to Him and used in His temple for His purpose
3. Men were bearing false witness. one said, “This man stated, I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.” (Christ was talking of His body as the temple) 4. And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His Spirit.” Just as Christ yielded His Spirit back to God, our Spirit goes back to God until the time of the second coming, when Christ returns in the air to gather all those that have believed in Jesus Christ. Then our Spirit, God will put back into our new body that cannot be corrupted or go into decay any more, because we have been changed in the twinkling of an eye. We shall be rewarded for our faith in Christ, and be with Him for all eternity. 5. We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands. Christ body became the Temple of God on earth. 6. And he (Simeon) came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the law, then he took Him into his arms, and blessed God , and said “Now Lord, thou dost let thy bond servant depart in peace, according to thy word; for my eyes have seen Thy salvation, which thou hast prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light of revelation to the gentiles, and the glory of Israel.” (Deity of Christ). 7. But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 8. Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “you both know Me and know where I am from, and I have not come of myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. I know Him; because I am from Him and He sent me. 9. And early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began to teach them. 10. I am He who bears witness of myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of me. And so they were saying to Him, where is your father? Jesus answered, you know neither Me, nor My Father: If you knew Me, you would know My Father also. These words He spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one sized Him, because His hour had not yet come. 12. Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. Whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: Therefore glorify God in your body. I Corinthians 6:19-22 Or do you not know that your body a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you. 13. Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from their midst and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean; and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you,and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty. II Corinthian 6:16 The Temple is just a building of stone. Jesus is the Temple of the Church. It is His whole body, mind, soul that He gave for man kind. It is this that makes believers different than any other person on earth. They have read or heard of Jesus and what He has down for them, and what He will do for them in the future in eternal life. It is the laying down of self. Just as Christ prayed to God, not my will, but your will be done.
People need to remember that, not my will, but God’s will. Give up always of trying to strive for more and more, but seek Christ humility, Jesus said He did not come to be served, but to serve. Were are we today, do we have the attitude of serving today. Serving or ourselves, serving ourselves does not count. Without saying anything to anybody, if you see somebody struggling with a load or a problem, go up and pick up part of that load to help, When you’re done, leave. Christ says do not blow your own horn. If you have a kind word for somebody, tell them, if someone has a great smile, tell them. Try greeting another person on the street with a smile and a nod of the head or a simple hello., do not seek recognition for a little help, you will be amazed and the thanks you will receive for the help. Authority, the temple rulers thought they had authority over everything, and here is an outsider, that was a man born of a woman, doing all these miracles, and they did not recognize God in the flesh because of their greed of control.

The next time Christ came to Jerusalem He cast out all those that were buying and selling in the temple. Christ would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple. Christ said that this is a house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a robbers den.

Life after death, Christ and God as light and temple

1. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens, but fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into the holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are being built together into the dwelling of God in the Spirit. 2. He who overcomes, I will make Him a pillar in the temple of My God, and He will not go out from it anymore; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My new name. 3. And the temple of God which is in heaven opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. 4. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; and no one was able to enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished. 5. And I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, go pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God into the earth. 6. And the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air; and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying “it is done,” 7. And I saw no temple in it(the new city), for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. They are dwelling with there own chosen people that has accepted Christ as Savior, to live with and dwell with for all eternity.

The purpose of God is for man to see His holiness, love, His Spirit that He sent to us through Christ, and then Jesus Christ to pay for our sin on the cross, that on that day, the resurrection, He became the Temple of God and the mystery is, that Christ, for those who believe in Him, He lives in us, guides us, protects us, and through Jesus, we become holy, righteous and clean, because of Christ.
What God has purposed, it will never fail, but come to pass in His good time. Whatever He has said will not fail to happen. Whatever the ebb and flows of mans life are, His purpose never changes. Nations have come and gone over the millennial, His word is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow. His purpose is the same as the beginning of time. Man, God wants man to come to Him to get to know God and man to learn from Him. It is man to recognize that only man is sinful, but God is holy and righteous, that is the difference between man and God.

How has Denominationalism helped the Lord Jesus Christ

Then the Lord said, Because they draw near with their words and honor Me with their lip service, but they remove their hearts far from Me, and their reverence for me consists of tradition learned by rote

How has Denominationalism helped the Lord Jesus Christ.       Article 17    April 31, 2017
What happens to Christianity when denominationalism is practiced on a large scale. The gospel is not given in the manner and tone that Christ gave it. The leadership of these denominations have a belief system that are separate and exclusive unto itself. They stake out a position and they have over the years refined it to a point that it sounds reasonable. Some of the rules and laws are directly opposed to the Bible. All of these denominations talk about Christ as being Savior, but when you start to dig into the meanings of what is published, it is lacking in content of what Christ taught and practiced. Man makes denominationalism, a front for man to make up its own laws and rules and view of God and beliefs for how they believe and how they see God and how their members should see Jesus, and what the people in the pew are supposed to think about Him. How have many of these denominations gotten a foot hold into the bible believing people? People have stopped reading their bible and therefore has looked at what the denomination say about God and Christ and say, that sounds good, I will believe that. Many of these denominations have said that if you believe in this denomination you are saved. Unfortunately people do not know their bible, because they do not read it, and then are led astray.
What are the basics that Christ taught. He was the Messiah that was taught and spoken about in the Old Testament. That John the Baptist would be His for runner. He was the Son of God, but also He was God that came down from heaven in the flesh (John 1-14). He came not to be served, but to serve. He came to save man from their sin. Jesus performed untold miracles to show the people that He was from God and that only God could do these miracles and forgive sin. It was Jesus’ will, to do the will of the Father. He said by faith in Him, confession of that sin, He would forgive them and they would have eternal life in Him. That the Father turned all authority and rule over to Him. Once people believed in Him nobody could be take them out of His hand. What was the sign that everything had been turned over to Jesus, He was obedient to the Father, and His betrayal by one of the disciple. The scourging, the crown of thorns, the mocking, and being nailed to the cross, His piled blood for you and me. But what sealed all of these signs, His resurrection from the dead. Another sign was His resurrection body, He could be seen in the body, then not seen at all. Then through the New Testament He tells His people how they should believe about Him, how they should act, what they should do, and in the end, how they will be taken up to Him in the end. That He would go and prepare a place for us, so we will be with Him for all eternity.
This is where Jesus ran into problems by the ruling class, the Scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, etc. This is the problem today with denominations today. They have the same problem, miracles, calling Himself God, being man and spirit. Healing, that there is an eternity. Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of My father who is in heaven. Mary will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.” Lawlessness in this day and age could be denominations not acknowledging Jesus for who He is. These denominations are like the Scribes, Pharisees, and the ruling class of the Jews. Now some of these denominations are ruling over the church and leading the people astray.

Before I go any further, God was only too aware of what man could do when He took Israel out of the land of Egypt. God told the people He wanted them to be His people, He would watch out over them, guide them, protect them. They only had to take God at His Word. But what did they do the first chance they had, after a few days of Moses being gone, they had Aaron make a golden calf for them to worship and follow. God had a few simple rules, the 10 commandments. Instead they took those rules and turned them into rules and laws that God had never given them. They turned God into what they thought, they wanted God to be. God warned them over and over to follow Him only, and do His will, or He would send other nations to take them into captivity. God brought them out of Egypt in 1445 BC. The first captivity to Assyrians to the 10 Northern tribes of Israel happened in 859 B.C., when the tribe Judah became so corrupted God sent the Babylonians in 586/587 B.C.
This denomination has the following beliefs.
1.They do not believe in the Trinity. God is one single person. Jesus was created by God, and God created everything else.
Many people believe that a trinitarian verse does not exist. Does that necessarily make it true?because of the word trinity is not in front of the words, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The main focus should be God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit which Christ sent to all believers. God’s Word is true, complete, and is lacking nothing. God’s Word is the only Word that man needs. God does not need other translations of the bible. God’s will cannot be changed by another translation. The bible is the final Word on all matters, no matter what man prints about God, and Christ. Unfortunately, they do not believe God in Hebrews 9:27, “And inasmuch as it is appointed for man to die once, and then the judgment.” The judgment that Christ speaks about here is, are you a believer in Christ or not. If you are, your Spirit goes to be with the Lord.
1. You are my witnesses, declares the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen, In order that you may know and believe in Me, and understand that I am He. Before me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the Lord; and there is no Savior besides Me. 2. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God. and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 3. Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him. 4. And by common confession great is the mystery of godliness; He was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, beheld by Angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.
1. Isaiah 43:10-11, 2. John 1:1-3, 3. John 14:6-7 4. 1 Timothy 3:16
2. This denomination says they believe in the Bible, but they have their own translation. In the Bible, as an example, how they turn God on His head. 1. They say, In the beginning was The Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. They have separated the Word from God and made His Word a god all unto it self. Make no mistake, God is His Word and, His Word is God. By doing this they can change His Word in any direction or have it say anything they want it to say. If you say you believe in God, His Word is truth, His Bible has no misspoken words, describes God’s love, glory, and His miracles are for all times and seasons. His presence in our lives, His will for our lives, He is the bread of life, He is the Alpha and Omega. Yes, He is the beginning and the end. If a denomination rewrites His Word, it leads many people astray, and the penalty will be on them and the people who are mislead are left with no savior at all. You cannot pick and choose what you want to believe or not believe, because if you don’t believe it all, THEN YOU ARE WORKING AGAINST THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THE FATHER. 2. For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. 3. Every Word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him, do not add to His words least He reprove you, and you be proved a liar. 4. But Jesus answered and said to them, You are mistaken, nor understanding the scriptures, or the power of God. 5. For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. 6. And He said to them, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me. But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men. Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men. 7. I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; if any takes one away or adds to them, God shall add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. 8. Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do, you shall not add to nor take away from it.

3. This denomination says that Christ died on a stake, instead of a cross for the sins of mankind. Salvation is not through faith alone, but is earned by obedience to God’s commands.
After study of the stake or the cross, stake was the original term in the Bible. The cross did not come along till after the 3rd century. The main point being, His hands and feet were nailed into the wood on either one. The pierced hands and feet, along with the spear into His side is His proof of the crucifixion. That is what made the difference with Thomas.
1. For by grace are you saved through faith,; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. 2. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. 3. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son , that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 4. But what does it say? The word is near you in your mouth and in your heart-that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For scripture says, whoever believes in Him will not be dissappointed. 5. For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. 6. Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In my house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going. 7. Being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, that He might be just and justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

4. This organization does not believe in the existence of hell as a place of torment. They believe that man’s existence ends at death. They do acknowledge that God can remember the people on earth, and then be resurrected, but not because you believe in Christ, but all people are raised from the dead. All people will be resurrected at the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Christ. They also believe that Jesus’ body was not resurrected, but only His spirit.
1. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and cast them into the furnace of fire; in that place there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 2. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth there when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves being cast out. 3. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. 4. And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was departing, behold, two men standing in white clothing stood beside them, and they also said, Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven. 5. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and His image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. 6. And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. 7. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 8. But the cowardly and the unbelieving and the abominable and the murders and the immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death. Christ has a body and a Spirit. 9. And He said to them, Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts. See my hands and feet, that it is I myself; touch Me and see, for the spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have. 10. Because Thou wilt not abandon my soul to Hades, nor allow thy Holy One to undergo decay. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou wilt make me full of gladness with Thy Presence. 11. And behold, the veil of the Temple was torn from top to bottom, and the earth shook; and the rocks were split, and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many. 12. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies. 13. When she had said this, she turned around, and behold Jesus was standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to her, Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking? Supposing Him to be the gardner, she said to Him, Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away. Jesus said to her, Mary! she turned and said to Him in Hebrew, Rabboni! Jesus said to her stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren, and say to them, I ascended to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God. Thomas, one of the 12 disciples, said that I will not believe until I put my finger into the nail holes in His hand and His pierced side, I will not believe. Later all the disciples were in the same room and Jesus called Thomas to come and see and feel His healed wounds. 14. Then He said to Thomas, reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand, and put it into my side; and not unbelieving, but believing. Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God. 15. Two men on way to Emmaus. And they were conversing with each other about all the things which had taken place. And it came about that while they were conversing and discussing, Jesus Himself approached, and began traveling with them. But their eyes were prevented from recognizing Him. And He said to them, What are these words that you are exchanging with one another as you are walking? And they stood still, looking sad, 16. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead shall rise first.
Christ can come and go as He wishes. One minute He will be in the room wth the disciples, then gone. He will appear in body form and then disappear. Is God not able to manifest Himself anywhere any time He wants. If God holds all power, and if God has turned all power and authority over to Christ, does that not mean the Son can come and go as He please. According to the bible, they are one and the same.
1. Matthew 13:41-42, 2. Hebrews 4:12, 3. I Thessalonians 4:17, 4. Acts 9:11, 5. Revelation 14:11, 6.Revelation 19:20, 7. Revelation 20:13-14, 8. Revelation 21:8, 9. Luke 24:38-39, 10. Acts 2:27-28, 11.Matthew 27:51-53, 12. John 11:25, 13. John 20:14-17, 14. John 20:27-28, 15. Luke 13:14-19, 16.I Thessalonians, 4:16-17.
5. This denomination also believes the end times began in 1914, this period will end on judgement day. Judgement day begins with armegeddon, this denomination does not believe the bible means torment, but believes that judgment means hope and restoration. They believe that 144,000 of God are from this denomination only. The other part of this is, this denomination believes that the 144,000 will be the judges, along with God and Christ in the Kingdom of God. All other people will go to a place called Paradise. They must not be believe in the New Heaven and Earth.
But the bible says the 144,000 are from the 12 Tribes of Israel and there are 12,000 from each tribe. These 144,000 are sealed by Jesus for the purpose of evangelizing all the gentiles on the earth during the Great Tribulation. The rapture of the believers has taken place and the war between God and the nations will soon take place(Rev 7:1-8). Then, in chapter 14:1 we see Christ standing on Mt Zion and with Him are the 144,000 having Christ’s name and the name of His Father written on their forheads. And they sang a new song that nobody could learn, and these were the ones purchased, never having ever having been defiled by woman, and they follow the Lamb where ever He goes. No lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless. Standing before the throne of God was a great multitude of people who stood before the Throne of Christ and God. These were gentiles, that received Christ through the 144,000 Jews that brought them to Christ during the great tribulation(Rev 7:9-17). This is a far cry from what this denomination believes. After the resurrection of everybody, they will be kings along with God and Christ. This denomination say that only the 144,000 and Christ go into the Kingdom of God. When people die before the resurrection, they go to their place called Paradise. To them Paradise is the Garden of Eden where Adam and Eve came into creation. No matter how long you have been dead or yet to die, this is the place you will go. Everybody goes there, believers in Christ, believers in satan, the lairs, immoral people, etc. To be a part of the 144,000, at sometime during ones life they must believe that they are a prophet, state to the denomination that you are a prophet and show them why and then they will validate you being a prophet. The 1914 date is arrived at by taking the date of the temple destruction by the Babylonians, and add 2520 years. They say the destruction of the temple of Jerusalem was in 607 BC, but the bible tells us that the temple was destroyed in 586 or 587 BC. They have missed the age of grace, the time that all peoples can come to Christ by faith. all these points they have missed Christ totally. Below you can read what happens after the age of grace.
Revelelation 20:1-15
And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who was the devil and satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; After these things he must be released for a short time. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their for head and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who had a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years. And when the thousand years are completed, satan will be released from his prison, and will come out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. And they came up on the broad plane of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; they will be tormented day and night for ever. And I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great, and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged according to their deeds. And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire, this is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Believe Jesus when He says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.”
This chapter is not a metaphor. Please take note, how exacting these words are, detailed to every letter what is going to happen and then the end.
Man is impatient with God because they think that God has given him some authority, wisdom and knowledge to improve upon what God has done. These self willed men will put themselves in God’s place and then build a new translation that rewrites what God is, and how lacking God is when it comes to the working of man. Their translation is not an improvement upon His Word and better reflects mans view on what God has said in His Word. Man can think they can refine it and make it easier to understand. In the process man changes the Word of God, and exalts man in his quest to be like God. If you have your own translation, man can say we do not like exactly like God’s way, our way is a better way.
This is what the what the bible really teaches. And over the years, they keep adding rules and regulation that do impact the relationship between man and God. They tell their converts that you have to do it this way because God has given us the authority to do this. In Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar said in his heart, because I have built this palace, I built this city, I have made it. He had a dream and Daniel told him. That God said this, Daniel 4:17 “This sentence is by the decree of the angelic watchers, and the decision is a command of the holy ones, in order that the living may know, that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whom He wishes, and sets over it the lowliest of men.” This should be a reminder to man who thinks he can improve on God’s word and the timing of His events. It is Jesus who gave His blood for our salvation, It is Jesus that told man kind to come to me, have faith in me, I will heal you and give your soul rest. That healing may not be physical, but spiritually, peace in your soul, rest from people who do not like you. This is something no denomination cannot do. It is the personal attention that only Jesus can give. Man made translations have removed many jots and tittles from the bible. When people die, they do not die for a denomination or in a denomination. But at the end of life in Hebrews 9:27 it says, “And in as much as it is appointed for man to die once, and after this comes the judgment.” You have to believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. If you do not believe you are judged as a non believer, and your spirit goes to the appropriate place. This is what a denomination that has their own version of the bible, will not tell you. When we accept Him He places a new heart in us, one capable of confessing sin. We know that Christ is in us, and His way is the only way. It is JustJesusandYou. When you belong to Him you know you have a heart, healings, miracles in your life, and the love of God and His presence in your life. Don’t forget, several chapters a day in your bible today and start to learn and receive Him as your savior. Rely on Jesus

Reverence and Praise
Psalm 34:1-3 I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall be continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear it and rejoice. O magnify the LORD with me, ad let us exalt His name together.

What is the theme of Matthew chapter 5-6-7.

Drawing a comparison of how one should live and using the religious leaders as an example of what not to do, and their folly pertaining to the laws of God and the love and compassion of God and how the religious leaders did not want God as a ruler over them. They were hostile to the things of God. They did not like the thought that Jesus was saying He is the Son of God. They knew what that meant. They knew that Jesus was making Himself equal to God, and they thought that was blasphemy. He was teaching the people by using the religious leaders as an example, while at the same time, calling all of them hypocrites, talking to the religious leaders and telling them what would happen to them if they continued governing in the manner they are now. Jesus said, you will receive the same judgement in the same way as you judge. Christ was always pointing out to the people how they swindled the people of Israel, how they cheated God by their self endowed positions of authority. They believed they had more authority than God Himself. In the way they (Religious leaders of Israel) responded they would not give one inch to God or Christ. That is the reason they wanted to kill Christ, because Jesus was turning the people away from them, and to Himself and God the Father. Christ was giving the people a clear direction for living their lives.

Matthew 7:1-29
By whose standard do you want to judged 7:1-6

Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. And why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, Let me take the speck our of your eye, and behold, the log is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.  Here we have the continued teaching of Jesus to the same people that were in chapter 5 and 6. The five groups of people that attacked Jesus were the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, High Priests, Sanhedrin. Here Jesus picks up where He left off In Chapter 6. They would confront Christ time and again and would go away mad because they could not catch Christ in any lie or bad deed. Christ is addressing the religious leaders and the crowd. Christ is addressing religious leaders faults. And while they judge people, they will be judged in the same manner. Jesus is relating that a speck of dust is nothing, when you have log in your own eye, it can block your vision and be blinded by it. They did not look at their faults the same way Jesus did. So, there was conflict between them and Jesus. This is the base of all the problems. Even the many miracles Jesus performed, instead of saying, these miracles could not be done by ordinary man, so He must be God’s Son, they chose the route to deny any evidence that He could be the Son of God. The Pharisees were judging Christ by their own standard. Pigs and dogs were not liked in that culture. That is the reason you should not throw your pearls before swine. You should not cast what is holy to something that is unholy. If you put what is holy to you before unholy people, they will destroy what you think as holy, and then because of your faith kill you. Unholy men will always be on the losing end of an argument with God about, truth, righteousness and holiness.
Judging Matthew 7:1-6
1. Far be it from Me to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from Me! Shall not the judge of all the earth deal justly? 2. “So you shall come to the Leviticul priest, or judge who is in office in those days, and you shall inquire of them, and will declare to you the verdict in the case. And the man who acts presumptuously by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that man shall die; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel. 3. Yet you say, the way of the Lord is not right. O house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his ways. 4. And I (God) said, Hear now, heads of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, is it not for you to know justice? You who hate good and love evil, who tear off their skin from them and their flesh from their bones, and who eat the flesh of the people, break their bones, and chop them up as for the pot and as meat in a kettle. Then they shall cry out to the Lord, but He will not answer them. Instead, He will hide His face from them at that time, because they have practiced evil deeds. V11. Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, her priests instruct for a price, and her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord saying, “Is not the Lord in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us,” 5. I (Jesus) can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgement is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent me. 6. “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement.” 7. “You people (Religious leaders) judge according to the flesh; I am not judging anyone, But even if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone in it, but I and He who sent Me.” 8. Because He fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.” 9. “Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of men’s hearts; and then each man’s praise will come to him from God.” 10. For what have I (Paul) to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves. 11. To the general assembly and the church of the first-born who is enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of righteous men made perfect.”

1. The wicked spies upon the righteous, ans seeks to kill him. The Lord will not leave him in his hand, or let the condemned when he is judged. 2. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is appraised by no man. 3. Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts. 4. But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord in order that we may not be condemned along with the world. 5. But is all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an un-gifted man enters, he is judged by all, he is called to account by all; the secrets of his heart, are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you. 6. And the nations were enraged, and Thy wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to give their reward to thy bond-servants the prophets and the saints and to those who fear Thy name, the small and the great , and to destroy the earth. 7. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds.
This is the last judgment of God. This is the Great White Throne Judgment, where all the people who have never believed in God go through. In this book of God’s, He will show each person what their deeds were and then their judgment is carried out. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. Any body’s name not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. This is the place that satan is also thrown, and there is weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Gnashing your teeth means a literal grinding of your teeth together, It can also mean when you bite down you are in pain, anguish or anger. Those people who do not have any faith will be in anger because the end has come and God is putting the world back under His control, and rewarding those who believe.

Ask, Given,/Seek, Find,/Knock, Opened   Matthew 7:7-11, Luke 6:24
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be given to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. Or what man is there among you, when his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he ask for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
1. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (Jesus), because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has set Me to proclaim release to the captive, and recovery of the sight to the blind, to set those who are down-trodden, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” 2. “Ask Me, and I will surely give the nations as thine inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as thy possession. 3. “Indeed ask now concerning the former days which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and inquire from one end of the heavens to the other. Has anything been done like this great thing, or has anything been heard like it? 4. “Truly I say to you, whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” 5. “And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.” 6. Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.” 7. “And whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

8. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement.” 9. But when they deliver you up, do not become anxious about how or what you will speak; for it shall be given you in that hour what you shall speak.” 10. And He answered and said to them, to you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been granted.” The them, are the five religious groups that are trying to keep the power and the right to control all of the religious life of the Jewish people. The religious leaders are trying to get the people to believe that Jesus is a fraud and will lie call names to hold onto that power that they think they have. But, what they don’t know is Christ will allow them through their selfish acts to bring to pass what He came to accomplish, His life, for the life of all man kind, if they want to believe. In 70 AD, the religious leaders lost, because the Romans invaded Jerusalem and burnt the temple and pulled it down. 11. “but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. And from everyone who has been much shall much be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. 12. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given to Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 13. For the words which thou gavest Me I have given to them; and they received them, and truly understood that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send Me. I ask on behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom thou hast given Me; for they are thine. 14. And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved. 15. And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 16. For through the grace given to me I say to every man among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgement, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith. 17. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely give to us by God. 18. But the scripture has shut up all men under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 19. For God has not given us a Spirit of timidity, but power ad love and discipline. 20. Seeing that His divine power has given to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has given to us His precious and magnificent promises, in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search with all your heart and all your soul. 3. When thou didst say, Seek My face, my heart said to thee, thy face O Lord, I shall seek. 4. Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. 5. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with your whole heart. 6. If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 7. As it is written, There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God; all have turned aside, together they have become useless; there is none who does good, there is not even one. 8. For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.

Knock and opened

People make a commitment to Jesus, but not from the heart, it is a mental exercise. It is not the same as a definite declaration of acceptance. Luke 13:25-27 “Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock on the door, saying, Lord open up to us! Then He will answer and say to you, I do not know where you are from. Then you will begin to say, we ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets; and He will say, I tell you, I do not know where you are from; depart from Me all you evildoers.” There is a huge difference in eating and drinking and listening to someone in the streets, and then after the event is over, you disregard all the information, and you go on like it had no meaning for life. Then when one sees the end is coming quickly to a close, they want to be close to Jesus, because now Jesus is a benefit to them. They have gone through life without giving Christ a second thought. Revelation 3:15,16 Jesus says, “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot, I would that you were cold or hot. So because you are luke warm, and neither hot or cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.”
1. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. 2. On that day your mouth will be opened to him who escaped, and you will speak and be dumb no longer, thus you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the Lord. There were 2 blind men following Jesus one day. 3. Then He touched their eyes, saying, “be it done to you according to your faith.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, saying, “see here, let no one know about this!” But they went out, and spread the news about Him in all the land. 4. After Christ’s resurrection, two of His companions were traveling to Emmaus. Jesus came up to them, and they did not know who He was. Then He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all of Scriptures. After traveling some distance, they turned into the village where they were going to stay the night. And it came about that when they had reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them. And their eyes were opened and they recognized Him, and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the scriptures to us. 5. And Jesus stopped and called them and said, What do you want me to do for you? They said to Him, Lord we want our eyes to be opened. And Jesus , moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him. Stephan was witnessing in the Temple to the Jewish people. He was going through the Old Testament, God in creation and Moses, the Prophets, tabernacle in the desert, That you who are a stiff necked people, are resisting the Holy Spirit. Then they became incensed when Stephen said while looking up to heaven, And behold he said, 6 “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” They rushed him, threw him out of the temple and stoned him to death. 7. And from there(Attalia) they sailed to Antioch, from which they had been commanded to the grace of God for the work that they had accomplish. And when they had arrived and gathered the church together, they began to report all things that God had done with them and how He had opened a door of faith to the gentiles. 8. And a certain woman named Lydia from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul. 9. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him whom we have to do. 10. And the Temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. 11. And I saw heaven opened; ad behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called faithful and true; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. 13. Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door , I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Your treatment of others Matthew 7:12

Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law, and the Prophets.
Two gates of Life Matthew 7:13-14, Luke 13:24
Many are those who enter by it. For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it. Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and Murder, robbery, adultery, lying, stealing, being a false witness, unjust change, cheating, all of these are going on the broad road. Doing what is good in Christ, in your life, looking to do good to others.
False and True Teaching Matthew 7:15-20, Luke 6:43-45
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. (deeds) Grapes are not gathered from bushes, or figs from thistles, are they? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit,no can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into a fire. So then, you shall know them be their fruits.
Which way into Kingdom of God Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. Many shall say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you, DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.
You cannot practice any type of evil that takes away from God’s truth, Righteousness, and Holiness and expect to get into heaven.
Parable of the builders Matthew 7:24-27, Luke 6:47-49
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine, and acts upon them, may be compared to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst against that house; and yet did not fall, for it had been founded upon the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does not ack upon them, will be like a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and burst that house; and it fell, and great was its fall.
The multitudes were amazed at His teaching, for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

This ends the Sermon on the Mount, in Matthew chapter 5,6,7.

What is the teaching of Jesus on the issues of the day Article 16 2of 3 2-15-17

How would you praise Jesus today? What would you praise Him for? I praise Him today because He has given me a task that has stretched me in all directions. Since I am a human, I am not perfect in thought or deed. But, He has covered me by His shed blood from the cross. He has blessed me with some of His knowledge, He has given me His Spirit to bring things to remembrance and guidance, His wisdom helps me in discernment. Praise belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Savior of the world. When I first started walking with Him, He worked in me by saving me from myself. I had a worldly mind, and my actions showed it. Praise Jesus today. Write out your own praise to Him, and show Him how much you love Him. And if you do not believe, ask Him to show you that He exists and show you how real He is, that He is alive and well, ready to answer your prayers and questions as you read His Word, listen to messages and pray to give you wisdom in learning.

The issues of today are the same issues that came up yesterday, 100 years ago or 2000 years ago. We keep making the same mistakes over and over, until we are faced with life’s issue. Some of these issues are in the form of sin. It is when we learn that life is better with Christ
Theme of this chapter. Jesus wants the people to not focus on the external needs of life, but the internal needs of life. The internal will show you a complete view of your life and the one that Christ wants you to have. Be focused on today, and don’t worry about tomorrow. You cannot take care of tomorrow if today, your needs are not being met. Do what you can to get what you need, do what Christs asks, and your daily needs will be met. Men can only see the outside, Christ see’s the outside and the inside and takes care of them at the same time, without any drama.
Reliance on Christ. The religious leaders wanted the people to look at them, what they did, and be admired as something that would be looked upon in a very favorable light. God did not count for anything, so Christ points out their faults. They did not believe in God, but are faced with Christ who is telling the people that He came from the Father. The religious leaders had to do something to curb the critisism and the popularity of Christ. Christ was questioning their authority and the way they did things. Christ brought out into the open how they wanted to look good instead of giving the people the Word of God. The religious leaders message was about them and their authority. Christ’s message had to do with the people, how they could live, what the rewards could be if they would follow Christ. He added that there is a kingdom, by believing in that kingdom and Christs as Savior, they could be saved and all of life’s needs would be added for their belief. The religious leaders were about the past and the present. Christ’s message was about the present and the future. The way to live was by faith in Christ for their guidance. Key to this chapter, 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.” There is nothing that we should be anxious for.
Matthew 6:1-34
                                                                        Almsgiving 6:1-4
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your father who is in heaven. When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you”.
Little history. There were five religious groups of people during Jesus’s time on earth that He battled with over and over. They were the Pharisee’s, Sadducee’s, Sanhedrin, High Priests and the Scribes. The Pharisees were the religious people over the temple. They had taken the Bible that was taught in the temple, and they were teaching the people in the public square and in the Homes. The Sadducees were the Priestly line. They were the liberals of Judaism. They did not believe in the afterlife or the resurrection. The Sanhedrin interpreted civil and religious law. This included rituals and how they were administered in the temple. The Sanhedrin was made up of the Pharisee’s, and Sadducee’s. There were 71 people that made up this body. The fourth group are the Scribes. In the Old Testament they had the duty of copying the bible letter by letter. They were so exacting that every letter and number had to be accounted for by the number of letters per line. If the count was off, they had to start over again. That is the reason our bible is so accurate today. In Jesus day, the Scribes were a special group of people from the religious leaders. They studied the law of Moses and were to solve the problems with the laws and the people. It was this group that confronted Jesus most of the time. Many times Jesus called the Pharisee’s and Scribe’s hypocrites. The fifth group, the High Priests. They were over all of the Temple sacrifices, they were over all of the subordinate priests, He was the only one after a sacrifice that could go into the Holy of Holies. The Priest were also over all of the temple rituals. He determined what and how things were done in the Temple. There were local synagogues in every city, or if the town was large enough, it may have two. The Temple only existed in Jerusalem.
Luke 20:46-47 “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk around in long robes, and love respectful greetings in the market place, and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at banquets, who devour widow’s houses, and for appearance sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation.” Matthew 23:25-29 “You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a Camel! Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self indulgence. You blind Pharisees, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also. Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy as lawlessness.”
One of the Pharisee ask Jesus to have lunch with him. Jesus went in and reclined at the table, and when the Pharisee saw it, he was surprised that He had not ceremonially washed before the meal. But Jesus said to him, Luke 11:39-44 “Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the platter; but inside of you, you are full of robbery and wickedness. You foolish ones, did not He who made the outside make the inside also? But give that which is within as charity, and all things will be clean for you. But woe to you Pharisees! For you pay tithe and mint and rue and very kind of garden herb, and yet disregard justice and the love of God; but those are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. Woe to you Pharisees! for you love the front seats in the synagogues, and the respectful greetings in the market place. Woe to you! For you are like concealed tombs, and the people who walk over them are unaware of it.”

Lords Prayer 6:5-15
And when you pray, you are not to be as hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners, in order to be seen by men. Truly I will say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you. And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition, as the gentiles do, for they will be heard for their many words. Therefore do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need, before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way;
The Lords prayer of Matthew
“Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.] The sentence in parenthesis has been added.
The Lords Prayer of Luke 11:2-4
And He said to them, “When you pray say;” “Father, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not in temptation.”
This is a way to focus when we prayer, but does not limit our prayers on other issues that effect us or friends and family.  I think the point that Jesus is trying to make is, nobody can steal what they can’t see what you have. Your personal time with the Lord is in secret and personal.

What is the kingdom of God, and what do we have to do to get in.

God’s kingdom is by invitation only. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Also it is a place of rewards. In God’s love for the one who accepts Him, they want to live up to the expectations of their Christ and King. Jesus wants us to to help in His kingdom message, give water to their enemies, food and clothing to the poor, love your neighbor as thyself. Christ wants His people to do good, be gracious, forgiving. speaking what is true and right. In addition to Him who watches over us, He has additional rewards when we get into His Kingdom.
This made me think of a song from years ago. It is called Onward, Christian Soldiers.
1. Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus, going on before! Christ, the Royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle See His banner go! 2. At the sign of triumph satan’s host doth flee; on, then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthem raise! 3. Like a mighty army, moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod; we are not divided; all one body we, one in hope and doctrine, one in charity. 4. Onward, then, ye people, join our happy throng, blend with ours your voices in triumph song; glory, laud, and honor, unto Christ the King; One in hope and doctrine, in charity. end What do soldiers do, they fall into rank, they go giving the word, they may fall in death because of their message, but another falls out to take ones place. Sometimes we go through part of our life like a ship without a rudder. Our rudder is supposed to be Christ. We are to look at Him, for direction, correction, and what He wants us to do when we get there. Christians keep going century after century until the King returns. When we put on our robes of white, we have no more pain, no more death, just victory in Jesus Christ.
Psalm 145:11-21 They speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; to make known to the sons of men Thy mighty acts, and the glory of the majesty of thy kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, thy dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord sustains all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down,The eyes of all look to Thee, and Thou dost give them their food in due time. Thou dost open thy hand, and dost satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all His ways, and kind in all His deeds. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear the cry and will save them. The Lord keeps all those who love Him; but all the wicked, He will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord; and all flesh will bless His Holy name forever and ever. Luke 17:20-21 Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, The kingdom of God is not coming with the signs to be observed; nor will they say, look here it is, or there it is!. For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst. We who believe Jesus Christ, His kingdom is in us. Since Christ is unseen, people cannot see His kingdom in us. It is just like His Spirit, it cannot be seen either, when we believe in the Spirit, He is in Us. 1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God does not consist of words, but in power. Hebrews 1:8 But of the Sons He says, THY THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM.
For those who make it into the kingdom of Heaven there are 5 Crowns for believers to receive.
{Crown of life. James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. {Revelation 2:10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Crown of rejoicing. {I Thessalonians 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming.{Crown of Righteousness. 2 Timothy 4:8, 7 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but to all them also that love His appearing. Why do we get this, we have fought the good fight, I have finished my course and I have kept the faith. {Crown of Glory. 1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading Crown of glory. {Crown imperishable. I Corinthians 9:25 And everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. Then they receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.” Wreath also translated crown.
For if you forgive men their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions
The last part of the Lord prayer I want to cover is God’s Will.
1.”We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing, and does His will, He hears him. 2. “And do not be conformed to this life, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” 3. “Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.” 4. “Therefore, be careful how you walk, not as wise men, bur wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” 5. “In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 6 “Now, the God of peace, who brought up from the dead and the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord.”
1. John 9:31 2. Romans 12:2 3.Galatians 1:4 4. Ephesians 5″15-17 5. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 6. Hebrews 13:20-21
The following are small sentences of various verses in the 4th Chapter of James. What are your source of quarrels and conflicts? You lust and do not have, so you commit murder, you are envious, you fight a quarrel, you have not because you ask not, if you do ask, you ask with the wrong motives. Do you think that scripture speaks to no purpose? God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Submit therefore to God. Draw near to God and He will draw close to you. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. Let God decide where to go and how long you will be there. Instead you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we will do this or that. Do not boast or be arrogant. All such boasting is evil. Therefore, if you know what the right thing is, and you do not do it, it is sin to you.
1 Peter 2:13-15 “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or as governors as sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.” 1Peter 4:1-2 “Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased to sin, so as to live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

                                                                    Fasting Matthew 6:16-18
“And whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance in order to be seen fasting by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you fast, anoint your head, and wash your face so that you may not be seen fasting by men, but your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you,”
Be happy that you want to fast, not all people want to depend on the Lord to help them through the day to complete the fast. It is relying again on Him to help you to accomplish something for Him and you.
What and Where are Your Treasures, Are they monetary? Matthew 6:19-34
“Do not lay up for yourself treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also, The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in the darkness, how great is the darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. For this reason I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, as to what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, as to what you shall put on.
How would you answer these questions?
Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them, are you not worth much more than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one single cubit to his life span? And why are you anxious about clothing?
“Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. But if God arrays the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into a furnace, will He not much more so for you, O men of little faith? Do not be anxious then, saying, what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? Or with what shall we cloth ourselves? For all these things the gentiles eagerly seek; for your Heavenly Father knows that you need all these things, but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will take care of itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Living life in the shadow of God’s love. The expectations of God and His believer of how you mesh into the life around you. You are to be salt and light to the people around you. You have gifts that other people do not have to reach people around you.

What is the teaching of Jesus on the issues of the day Article 16 1 of 3 January 23-2017

Psalms 15
O Lord, who may abide in thy tent? Who may dwell on the holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, but honors those who fear the Lord; he swears to his own hurt, and does not change; he does not put his money at interest, nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

Praise be to the God of all creation, telling us what we are supposed to be like.

What is the teaching of Jesus on the issues of the day. Matthew 5:1-26 Article 16 Part 1 of 3 January 23, 2017

The issues of today are the same issues that came up yesterday, 100 years ago or 2000 years ago. We keep making the same mistake over and over until we are faced with lifes issues that we cannot do on our own. Some of these issues are in the form of sin and others are not.

When I was thinking about doing an article on the beatitudes.  I was thinking what other material could I get to supplement what He taught. After reading this chapter over and over, I decided that Jesus’s message was very clear, I will add very little material to what Christ has said.. This article is the teaching of Jesus.  Lets start in Matthew 4:23-25 “And Jesus was going about in Galilee, teaching in their Synagogues.  and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.  And the news about Him went out into all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, taken with various diseases and pains, demoniac s, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. And great multitudes followed Him from Galilee and decapolis, Jerusalem and Judea and from beyond the Jordan.”
Matthew Chapter 5:1-11 This is the blessed part of the chapter for the 7 verses and how He will bless who believe in Him. These are the words of Jesus. And when He saw the multitude, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. And opening His mouth He began to teach them saying,
The Blessed verses Matthew 5:3-12

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.                                             Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.                                                        Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.                                                               Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.      Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.                                                                  Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.                                    Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.                                                                                                                            Blessed are you when men cast insults at you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of me. Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Salt and Light Matthew 5:13-16
“You are salt of the earth, but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty again? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under the peck measure, on but a lamp-stand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see you good works, and glorify your father who is in heaven.”
Salt can have several meanings. Salt as a flavoring to enhance the flavor of what is being cooked. Salt can also be used has a preservative. Salt is used in curing meat as well.  As Christ cures us from our sin, He starts our preservation process of learning and hiding His word in our heart. As He shows us what He wants us to do, we become salt and light to the people we rub up against. We exhibit the qualities of Christ to make other people interested.  Each one of us has our own personalities that make us unique in who we are.  Christ takes us as we are and refines that personality make up and makes it be what other people see in you, that they want what you have, Christ.  Christ wants to put into you, His Truth, Holiness and steadfastness into Christs vessel, us.  What makes us lose our salt, we get complacent in our faith, lazy on sharing our faith. Christ in His message to these people, they have value to Him, He was healing them, and they were noticing and wanted to be healed, or they were bring friends to be healed.  That is being salt. We can become more valuable to Christ if we learn more about Him.  As we learn about Him we get to be the light to other people to help them along.
What is the importance of salt in a human being, and why is it there? I did not take biology, or chemistry in school, so I wanted to find out the salt content of the human body.  In simple terms along with other chemicals, we were born with about 40 teaspoons of salt in our body, this is the table salt variety.  Just think of God going all the way back to when He made man.  God formed man from the dust of the earth, into the form of a man, God then breathed into the dust of his nostrils.  This makes the creation account of man even more special, because God knew what it was going to take for man to function from day to day to keep mans body fit and operating the way God had intended.  *”We lose salt by daily activities by perspiring and sweating. Another aspect of salt is it helps maintain the fluid in our blood and used to transmit information in our nerves and muscles.  It also helps in the uptake of other nutrients from our small intestines.  ” The body cannot make salt, so we need to replace the salt by the food that we eat and by adding salt in our cooking. We need about 1 teaspoon of salt a day to replenish what has been used in our body.

Jesus fulfills the law Matthew 5:17-19
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but fulfill.  For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the law, until all is accomplished.  Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Jesus presents to the people that He can fulfill the law by obeying the law. That Jesus wanted them to obey the law and at the same time they would see His righteousness in fulfilling of the law.  I will show you the end result of the law in Me.  I will not do away with the law, I will show you Messiah and the prophets talked about.  If you will believe Me, you will see that the Law and the Prophets spoke of my coming.  Not the smallest of any letter or punctuation mark will not pass away until all that has been said is accomplished.  Anybody that contradicts the Law and the Prophets will be the least in the kingdom.  Having the Law and the Prophets, those who teach it shall be great in the kingdom.

                                                            Murder Matthew 20:20-26
“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.  You have heard that the ancients were told, you shall not commit murder’ and ‘Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.’ But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever shall say to his brother ‘Raca’, shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever shall say, ‘You Fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.  If therefore you are presenting your offering at the alter, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your offering there before the alter, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.”

                                                          Adultery Mathew 5:27-32
You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery’; but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.  If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one part of your body perish, than your whole body to be thrown into hell.  And if your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the part of your body perish, than for your whole body to go into hell.”

                                                          Divorce Matthew 5:31-32
“And it was said, ‘Whoever sends his wife away, let him give her a certificate of divorce’; but I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for the cause of infidelity, makes her commit adultery;and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
                                                            Vows Matthew 5:33-37
“Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.’ But I say to you, make no oath at all, either in heaven, for it is the throne of God, or the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, ‘or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. But you statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’, and anything beyond these is ‘ of evil.”

                                                       Retaliation Matthew 5:38-42
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy’. But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you in order that you may be sons of your living Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.  For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? And if you greet your brothers only, what do you more than others? Do not even the gentiles do the same? Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

                                                                Love Matthew 5:43-48
You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. ‘ But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you in order that you may be sons of your father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gathers do the same.? And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others?  Do not even the gentiles do the same?  Therefore you are perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”
May the Love of Christ dwell in our hearts, so we may fulfill the law as Jesus has done.
