The Millennium and Jesus Christ

August 26, 2020

  Reverence                               Proverbs 8:12-17

I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, I find knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way, and the perverted and the evil way, and a perverted mouth, I hate.  Council is mine and sound wisdom; I am understanding, power is mine. By Me kings reign, and rulers decree justice, by Me princes rule, and nobles, all who judge rightly. I love those who love Me; and those who diligently seek Me will find Me.

The Millennium and Jesus Christ                August 25, 2020              Part 2 of 3

The second coming of Jesus Christ, and the defeat of satan and his evil people.
1. Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jessie, and a branch from his roots will bear fruit. And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, and He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear; but with righteousness He will judge the poor, and decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; and He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked. Also righteousness will be the belt about His loins, and faithfulness the belt about His waist. 2. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 3. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. 4. Therefore comfort one another with these words. 5. (The dead saints are taken up into the air when the marriage supper of the Lamb starts, here. His saints will be dressed in fine white linen, because Jesus says the fine linen is the righteous acts. of the saints). And John saw heaven open, He saw Jesus coming riding on a white horse, and Jesus is called faithful and true; in His righteousness He judges and wages war. Christ is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called “The Word of God”. His armies dressed in fine linen white and clean followed Him. And on His robe and thigh were written the words, “KING of KINGS, and LORD of LORDS”. Birds of the air are called to the great super of God. They will eat the flesh of kings of the earth, and armies gathered to make war against who sat upon the white horse. The beast and the false prophet who had done great signs and received the mark of the beast. The rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat upon the white horse. Also Revelation 19:7, Revelation 17:5. 6. The the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations. as when He fights on a day of battle. 7. And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He amy smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. 8. And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and He cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds which fly in mid heaven, “Come, assemble for the great supper of the God; in order that you may eat the flesh of kings and the flesh of commanders and the flesh of mighty men and the flesh of horses and those who sit on them and the flesh of all men, both free men and slaves, and small and great.” And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies, assembled to make war against Him who sat upon the horse, and His army. And the rest was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown into the Lake of fire which burns with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat upon the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh. 9. And I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he should not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.

1. Isaiah 11:1-5, 2. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 3. 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 4. 1 Thessalonians 4:18, 5. Revelation 19:20, 6. Zechariah 4:3, 7. Revelation 9:15, 8. Revelation 19:17-21, 9. Revelation 20:1-3,

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in a twinkling eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.
With all of the dead saints in the air, and those that are alive now and our bodies changed like Christs. Jesus can now judge the earth. The beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.

We shall reign with Christ and help Him rule in His kingdom.

Now all the saints, raised from the dead and taken up alive are put on the earth, to work and reign with Christ. Christ said we would be with Him in His kingdom.
1. It is a trustworthy statement; for if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him; if we endure, we shall also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He will deny us; if we are faithless, He remains faithful; for He cannot deny Himself. 2. Then the sovereignty, the dominion, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be given to the people of the saints of the highest One; His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions will serve and obey Him. 3. Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you not competent to constitute the smallest law courts? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, matters of this life. 4. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

1. 2 Timothy 2:11-13, 2. Daniel 7:27, 3. 1 Corinthians 6:2-3, 4. Galations 3:29

In the parables, they are to show how people respond to Christ in everyday situations and the results of their actions, positively and negatively.

1. Matthew 25:14-30 Parable of the talents. For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves, and entrusted his possessions to them. a. And to one he gave five talents, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his own ability; and he went on his journey. Immediately the one who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and gained five more. b. In the same manner the one who had received the two talents gained two more. c. But he who had received the one talent went away and dug into the ground, and hid his masters money. Now after a long time the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them.

Results: And the one that had received the five more talents, saying, Master you entrusted five talents to me; see, I have gained five more talents. And the one that had been given two talents came and said to His master, see, I have gained two more talents, and the master said to them, well done good and faithful slave; you were faithful with a few things, and I will put you in charge of many things, enter into the joy of your master. And the slave that buried his talent, came to his master and said, here is your talent, I knew that you were a hard man reaping where you did not sow, gathering where you did not seed, I was afraid, and went away a buried the talent in the ground; see you have what is yours. The master answered and said, You wicked and lazy slave, you knew that I reaped where I did not sow, and gathered where I did not seed. You have ought to put the money into the bank for me to draw interest on until I returned. The master said take that talent away from him and give it to the man that has ten.
2. The Noble Man. A certain nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. And he called ten of his slaves and gave them ten minas, and said to them, do business with this until I come back. But the citizens hated Him, and sent a delegation after him saying, we do not want this man to reign over us. And it came about that when he returned, after receiving the kingdom, he ordered these slaves, to whom he had given the money, be called to Him in order that he might know what business they had done. a. The first appeared, master, your minah has made ten minas more, the nobleman said, well done, good slave, because you have been faithful in a little thing, be in authority over ten cities. The second came, saying, master, your mina has made five minas. b. The nobleman said to him also, be in charge over five cities. c. The third one came saying, master, behold you mina, which I kept put away in a handkerchief; for I was afraid of you, because you are an exacting man; you take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not sow. The nobleman said, by your own words I will judge you, you worthless slave. You should have put it in the bank so I could have had interest on it until I came.  3. The Ten Virgins. Then the kingdom of heaven will be comparable to ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five of them were prudent. But the prudent took oil in flasks along with their lamps. Now when the bridegroom was delaying, they got drowsy and began to sleep. But at midnight there was a shout, behold, the bridegroom! Come out to meet Him. Then all the virgins rose, and trimmed lamps. And the foolish said to the prudent, give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. But the prudent answered, saying no, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves. And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with Him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. And latter the other virgins also came, saying Lord, Lord, open up for us. But He answered and said, “Truly I say to you, I do not know you.” Be on the alert then, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

1. Matthew 24:14-30, 2. Luke 19:17, 3. Matthew 25:14-30

Christ will try us during our life to show us what we are made of and how we can improve in an area. It is during these trials that Jesus will mold and shape us to be more like Him. He will give us new areas of strength. He wants to mold us into a kingdom person that helps Christ rule, Also be able to with stand the onslaught of the devil by other people. These trials are like the Talents, the minas and other parables in the Bible. They show us our weaknesses, but also they are a tool in Jesus hands to hand pick people who can do God’s will and not change the directions. This is how Christ picks the people who will be in charge of citities, and other leaders that Christ wants to help Him. I read an article about the millennium, that this person figured there would be about two hundred million people in Jesus’s kingdom. Israel would be in it own place, the original boundaries that God gave them in Exodus. The rest of the world would be filled with people that came into the millennium.

The gathering of Israel into the Kingdom of Christ.

1. I permitted Myself to be sought by those who did not ask for Me; I permitted Myself to be found by those who did not seek Me. I said, here am I, here am I, to a nation which did not call on My name. I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in the way which is not good, following their own thoughts, a people who continually provoke Me to My face, offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on bricks; who sit among graves, and spend the night in secret places; who eat swine’s flesh, and the broth of unclean meat is in their pots. Who say, “Keep to yourself”, do not come near Me, for I am holier than you!” These are smoke in My nostrils, a fire that burns all day. Behold, it is written before Me, I will not keep silent, but I will repay; I will even repay into their bosom, both their own iniquities and the iniquities of their fathers together, says the Lord. Because they have burned incense on the mountains, and scorned Me on the hills. Therefore I will measure their former work into you bosom.” 2. Behold the days are coming, declares the Lord, When I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was husband to them, declares the Lord. But this is covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord, I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. And they shall not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, “Know the Lord, for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, declares the Lord,” For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more. 3. And in those days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all the kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever. 4. In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David, and wall up its breaches; I will also raise up its ruins, and rebuild is in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by My name, declares the Lord who does this. Behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes, him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine, and all the hills will be dissolved. Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, and they will build the ruined cities and live in them, they will plant vineyards and drink their wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit, I will also plant them on their land, and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them, says the Lord your God. 5. Now it will come about in the last days, the mountains of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of the mountains, and will be raised above the hills; and all the nations shall stream to it. And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, the house of the God of Jacob; that He may teach us concerning His ways, and that we may walk in His paths. For the law will go forth from Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plow shares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war. 6. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. And you will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord, my God will come, and all the holy ones with Him! 7. And the seventh angel sounded; and there arose loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever. And the twenty four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, We give Thee thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who art and who wast, because thou hast taken Thy great power and hast begun to reign. 8. And so when they had come together, they (the disciples) asking Him, saying, Lord, is it at this time You are retoring the kingdom to Israel? He said to them, it is not for you to know times and epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority. 9. Before she trevailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she gave birth to a boy. Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons. Shall I bring to the point of birth, and not give delivery? Says the Lord. Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb? Says your God. 10. Then you will say on that day, I will give thanks to thee, O Lord; for although thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou dost comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; make them remember that His name is exalted. Praise the Lord in song, for He has done excellent things; let this be known throughout the earth. Cry aloud and shout for joy, O inhabitant of Zion, for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.

Nations that battle against Israel suffer lose.

1. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, houses plundered, woman ravished, half the city exciled, but the rest of the people will not be cut off from the city. 2. Now this is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples who go to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth. 3. Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. Here we have a group of enemies of who just fought against Israel and now they are in the kingdom going go up yearly to worship Jesus in the fall at the Feast of Booths. Also called the Feast of Tabernacles.

1. Zechariah 14:2, 2. Zechariah 14:12, 3. Zechariah 14:16

Nations that do not go up to Jerusalem to worship Jesus suffer lose.

1. Zechariah 14:17 And it will be that which ever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, there will be no rain on them. 2. Zechariah 14:18 And if the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the Lord smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the feast of booths. 3. Zechariah 14:19 This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.

1. Zechariah 14:17, 2. Zechariah 14:18 3. Zechariah 14:17

Final thoughts.
The Church and Israel will both be in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ. The believers will be working with Christ in the position that Christ gives for each believer. Israel will be learning about their Messiah that they had rejected in the first century. They will completely rebuild Israel, in all the land that God gave them in Exodus. Israel is the Apple of God eye, He will watch over them, work with them, to restore to them what was lost from them from the beginning of defeat of the Assyrians and the Chaldean’s. Jesus is the ultimate multi tasker. Jesus calls up the dead, then the individual believers, Israel, assigns everybody their positions in the Millennium. Just think, all this is done in the twinkling of an eye. Thank you Jesus.
