Reverence                                                                                                                          Ephesians 3: 14-19 For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadeth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Amen

Who stands behind the Bible and its truth? The Bible is God revealed in the printed text. God is unseen, but Abram, and many other men God chose He talk to. They talked to Him just as He was another person next to Him. God gave those men the assurance of who He was and what He wanted them to do. They were not perfect. God knew these men were not perfect. God works through imperfect people, because they love Him and what He stands for. Just as God is all powerful, He is also the most tender, loving, understanding (being) I know. He knew from the beginning of creation man could not control himself. Without the knowledge of a creator, or one that wants to guide, man will never accept Him. In growing up, I had a limited concept of God. My concept of God was limited from my parents, I went to Sunday school but did not learn anything. That is on me, not the trying to teach. When I was a senior in High school, a person from the church my parents went to, was in their home soliciting funds to build a new church. I just happened to come through the back door. He said something to me about giving and I said no. When I was going back out the door, he made a comment about me and where I was with the Lord. I thought to myself, if that is the way christians are, I do not want anything to with them. I had formed an impression of God based on nothing God had said or done, but man. I turned my life into a very big mess. Who was there to talk to me in my darkest hours, God, who I learned later is Jesus Christ in the flesh. John 1:14 As I learned, by making assumptions on a few words is not like reading God’s word for all the truth. Jesus turned my life right side up, and knowing the truth about Him. If I hear something about God, I go to His word to see if it is true. The Bible speaks of things we know nothing about, sometimes it is beyond our eyes, our hearing, and thinking. God wants all of our senses open so He can communicate with us. (You will absolutely love it.) Jesus will open up to you, His very thoughts and actions, and talk to you in the night when you are alone and you are listening. God is the good Spirit in this world, to help us to do His will in our lives. There are other spirits in our relm, satanic, in King James version, in Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” We have an opponent, that wants to make us look to other things other than God and Christ. satan knows his fate already, from Genesis three. His place is in the pit, the question is, how many will be in the pit with him. There is a battle for your soul. Are you going with the devil, satan, or with God who will equip you with everything you need to fight against satan. Jesus will give you an everlasting love in your life, make meaning for your life, build you up, not and try and tear you down to do evil things. This is a matter of life and death. Life with Christ, or death in the pit with satan. Eternal life with Christ, or eternal death with satan, where torment and gnashing of teeth will be a terrible end. This will be forever and ever.

How does God’s word convict people?

1. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? God kjv 2. While they stood in place, they read from the book of the law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day; and for another fourth they confessed and worshiped the Lord their God. 3. This you know, my beloved brethren. But let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God. Therefore putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove your selves doers of the word, and not only hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in the mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately for gotten what kind of person he was. 4. My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord, or loathe His reproof, for whom the Lord loves He reproves, even as a father, the son in whom he delights. How blessed is the man who finds wisdom , and the man who gains understanding. 5. Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may become accountable to God; because by the works of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the law comes knowledge of sin. 6. God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And His radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high; having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. 7. Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of the things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

What did Jesus do to finalize our salvation?

1. And they crucified Him, and divided up His garments among themselves, casting lots for them, to decide what each should take. And it was about the third hour when they crucified Him. And the inscription of the charge against Him read, “The King of the Jews.” 2. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. 3. Again therefore Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.” 4. there is therfore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the requirements of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 5. And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.

                                                         Jesus man and God.

1. Have this attitude in your selves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond servant, and being made in the likeness of men. After being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 2. And the word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. 3. Timothy 2:5-11 There is one God, and mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

                                                The results in righteousness.

1. Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulation, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 2. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need. 3. I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 4. For He says, “At the acceptable time I listened to you, and on the day of salvation I helped you. 5. Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may become accountable to God; because no works of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin. But know apart from the law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets. 6. And God took Abram outside and said, Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them, “so shall your descendants be. Then Abram believed in the Lord, and God reckoned it to Him as righteousness. 7. Even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe, for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Even believing you are still a sinner, but Christ looks beyond our sin and sees your faith in Him. As you walk with Christ you will sin less.)

Jesus willingly, without reservation, knowing what His Father wanted, that He died for the whole world. God, even though He chose men to start Judaism, it does not mean that Judaism is what God wanted from the people. Judaism was started for man to look at God and get to know God for who He is. The Hebrews were dissatisfied with God because He did not meet their every need when they wanted it. What God was wanting from them was faith in Him and obedience. He was meeting their needs, He was showing them who He was by the miracles He was performing on the Egyptians. Israel had defeated all the nations in the land God had taken them to. It was not in their strength they defeated them. The Jews missed the whole point, obedience, salvation and peace, disobedience, trials, and death. The point was to follow God, trust Him in His plan for them, and their paths would be straight, their lives would be peaceful. God wanted them to know that it was He, only He, not them that brought this all about. Instead they perverted God’s laws at every turn, ignored God’s instruction. Some of Christianity has followed pretty much the same path. As the early church began to be more organized, the leaders started perverting power to themselves. Making rules and regulations that are not in the Bible. The early church became known as the Catholic Church. Catholic means universal Church. The Catholic Pope’s made themselves equal to God and Christ, and they became the center instead of Christ. They want you to call leaders father, but Jesus said call no one father on earth, because you have a Father in heaven. Matthew 23:9

The law of God is for all people and faith in Christ is for all people.

All have to come with heart in hand and ask Jesus to take my heart and change it into what He wants me to be.  They come from the same place.  Men have a tendency to add to, or take away from the original words to suit them.  That is where God becomes complicated for people. This person thinks it means this or that, that we shouldn’t do it this way, or that way. There have been men who have not perverted the word of God, and there have been men who come up with new ideas, just like Judaism. Men want to be in control of what other people believe. How about we let God work His work in all people. The Bible lacks nothing that man cannot understand. Do not fall for any denomination that has there own bible. They have perverted God’s word, His deeds and beliefs. He wants people to tell other people about Him, about His mighty wonders and love for all people. This one verse is the plainest verses there is,   For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.   In doing this, you have become righteous in Gods eyes.
