How well do you think the Lord Jesus knows you Article 3

Do you believe that God reciprocates feelings.  Since you do not think of Him, He doesn’t think about you.  But, is this reality?  God says He already knows us even if we don’t know or think about Him.  He never stops watching over us.  In our personal life, if we like another person  we want to spend more time with them because we have found we have some mutual interests.  Over time we really know what kind of a friend we have.  We know their likes, dislikes, the places they like to go and the things they like to do.  The Lord Jesus is the same way.  He knows who you are, and He would like for you to know Him and what He likes.  He would like to talk to you about your life and how it could be better.  You like this person because you know this person.  The same thing about the Lord, some like Him, others do not.  You cannot let the people who do not like the Lord control what you think and believe.  This is a personal relationship between you and the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus does not talk to your friends about you, nor does He  talk to you about your friends.  He only talks to you about you.

As a junior in high school I accepted Jesus as my Savior.  As a senior in high school I left the church because I saw inconsistencies in some of the men in the church.  I thought to myself that if that was the way Christians are, I did not want anything to do with them.  I was young and immature, another word I might use here is self centered and opinionated.  The thing that I had to learn was the church was a place of imperfect people, just as it is today.  I am one of those imperfect people.  I learn that nobody is perfect, not even the best person that I know.  There is only one that is perfect, the Lord Jesus Christ.

In 1978 my father died.  At his funeral service I heard a message that God loved me.  That is the only thing I remembered.  About three months later a bible appeared on my dresser that I had received when I was 12, because I went to Sunday School for three months.  I asked my wife if she had put the Bible on the dresser? she said she hadn’t.  After twenty years, leaving the church and the Lord behind, here I was starting to read every evening from the Bible.  After a while, I realized how wrong I had been as a young man to walk away.  I learned that I could walk away from christians, but the Lord was still there, all the time watching all my sins that I had done.  I asked the Lord to forgive me for my sin.  Several months after this, my life went upside down because of my sin.  I am glade that I had three or four months of reading and praying before my marriage unraveled.  There was a cost of my sin.  But, Jesus never stopped loving me or working with me to improve and grow.  I knew that Jesus had forgiven me  for all my sin.  I could understand about my wife for what I had put her through.  I had a pastor that really helped me.  My Pastor Ron one day  said this that I have never forgotten. He said, “Sin will take further than you wanted to go, keep you longer than you wanted to stay, and cost you more than you wanted to pay”.   I know and you should know how well the Lord knows you, before you even started knowing or thinking of Him.

This article is about the Lord that knows and loves you even if you don’t believe.

I Psalm 139:14 King David said, “I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and my soul knoweth right well”.  In Jeremiah 1:5 God said “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you”.  Also in Isaiah 44:24 says “Thus says the Lord, your redeemer, and the one that formed you from the womb, I , the Lord, am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by myself, and spreading out the earth all alone:.  The maker of heaven and earth and all that is in it and on it.  He loves His creation and the man and woman that He made.  From the beginning of creation, God knew everybody that would be born, when they would be born, the name they would have, what they would be, and who they would marry, and the number of years of their life.

The Lord Jesus continues in Matthew 10:10, But the very hairs of your head are numbered”.  In Luke 12:7, it says the same but adds, “Do not fear , you are of more value than the sparrows”.  And if this is not enough, God said in Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness”.  Is this not a tender hearted loving Savior, He wants us to come to Him just as we are, in the condition that you are.  In Isaiah  55:8-9, ” for my thoughts are not your thoughts , neither are your ways my ways declares the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts”.  Just think of how God made the human body.  God gave us DNA, our blood can replenish itself, it is a trail of who we are and identification.  He has made us different.  We are able to see in color.  Our brain can think in many different directions at the same time.  Our body is capable of healing itself.  God has given us a heart to feel a wide range of emotions.  We can see, walk, talk, drive and think at the same time.  Well, some of us can only do one or two things at one time.  Now do you understand why the Lord says we are fearfully and wonderfully made.  Thank you Jesus.

Early in my walk, sometimes when I was unsure of who Jesus was, I would pray to God to show me who Jesus is and what He was supposed to mean to me.  However, I found out that I could talk to Him.  Man was God’s last creation.  God made man to have a relationship with Him.  He wanted man to have the capacity to think, plan design, and to communicate with God.  Man is to show his praise and adoration for God.  Do the words that you have read, do they suggest how important man is to God.  God gave man the responsibility to tell all of man kind about Jesus,  flaws and all.  Looking at the earth and our body, the expanse of the heavens and stars, Isaiah 40:26 says “Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, The one who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power not one of them is missing”.  The tilt of the earth gives us our four seasons, how could one ever believe that it was created out of a bang, or through a primeval sludge pot,  evolutionary theory that has totally collapsed, because of the DNA make up.  Or, do we truly have a loving God who chose to create, and make everything perfect in His sight.  God made sure we were made very good, it makes me want to rise up, shout and yell, thank you Lord.

Final thought, even though you may be in the midst of troubled times, by knowing God loves you, and He is drawing you with His loving kindness, you will know who He is when He comes along side of you to help.  Trust that He has your best interest at heart.  All you have to do is say Jesus, I accept your offer for saving me.  I want to know you as much as you know me.  Then in Psalm 121:8 “The Lord will guard your going out  and your coming in From this time forth and forever”.

I had no idea that by walking with Jesus it would be so peaceful and rewarding.  It will not take you very long to understand this, once you have started it is justjesusandyou.  but it soon becomes blessings more than you could have ever understood.
